I have a short 2x4 block I put on the floor every morning and step around it in a circle 3 or 4 times. If anyone asks if I got any exercise today, I can honestly answer that I walked around the block several times.

You can use the hose method as has been described. Another method I use involves a $10 pump I found at Walmart. I power the pump with my cordless drill. The outlet of the pump has a male garden hose connection so I can connect it to the city water inlet with a short length of hose. The pump...
We're parked at COE Peoples Creek campground on Lake Wappapello in SE MO. After several weeks of rallies, seeing family and sightseeing in TX, OK, MO & IA, we're taking a few days of R&R here before heading back to Branson to meet up with former neighbors from TX.

Re: Heartland Sightings - Denver, CO on Saturday, May 21, 2016 . . .
John, I'll send you a PM when we figure it all out. Only thing I know now is we have reservations in Cherry Creek SP last week of July, then to Yellowstone for a week. Retirement is great! I don't have to know much for sure...
Re: Heartland Sightings - Denver, CO on Saturday, May 21, 2016 . . .
Not I, said the little white truck. Not going near Denver with my Landmark until July 24.

I agree. Our awning repeatedly refused to close completely. I tried removing the screw at the left end of the awning (there was no screw on the right end), but wasn't able to slide the awning in the track. I then retracted the awning to within about 6" of the closed position and pulled the...
Re: So It Begins....(
I haven't had any leak or overflow issues with the fresh tank, but a couple weeks ago at the OK rally, I was crawling under my slides and discovered the two PEX elbows protruding from the from just behind the rear tires. I asked a few of the more seasoned Heartlanders...
I've been on 57N between Cairo, IL and I-70 and it seemed like a good road. Might depend on which part of St Louis you're going to. 55 brings you into South St Louis. 64 brings you into downtown StL.

Terry & Carol,
Although we only have a tad over 3 months of FTing under our belt, we don't regret the decision a bit. Our plan is basically the same as yours...take advantage of the "hot" DFW housing market and sell, FT as long as we want/can, and then rejoin the housing market with whatever...
In my experience with our Landmark, the only place that cools 20 degrees below ambient is the bathroom. This depends on the outside humidity. Last summer in Nashville, it took several hours to cool the inside from 90 when we set up to below 80. 70 was a pipe dream. The heat loss/gain in these...
Re: Refer will not work on gas - not igniting
Had the same problem two years ago. Was told it was probably the control board, but before I dropped a C note, to check for loose or corroded connections on the control panel. I removed the control panel cover and started removing connections. The...
We rarely boondock so we carry just enough fresh water to use enroute....10-15 gallons. We use bottled water for drinking.

We're on the list John. It's on our itinerary. Hope to spend some time before in CO & UT.
No, I didn't knock or leave a note. I never noticed anyone around or I would have stopped. They had two or three national rally stickers on their rig.

There's a Bighorn with a black TV and a Ohio Chapter HOC vinyl decal on the door side slide parked in C area of the resort. Our site is just on the opposite side of the comfort station. We're in the Landmark.

That's us too! 2 chairs for us, 2 for the dogs (and grandkids) and 2 for guests.
Oh yeah, I really like my MorStor sliding tray. The small amount of space I lose is more than made up by the ease and convenience of accessing storage containers and other items. I will admit it makes accessing...
I lived in Ames for 12 years with ISU and had the opportunity to be in the Amanas several time. My favorite place to eat was in South Amana...in a walkout cellar. John, most of the times I was in Cedar Rapids, I would not describe the odor in the air as inviting as "oatmeal"!

We're planning on staying at the Amana RV park a few nights in May. Our Passport America membership gets us the first 2 nights at half price and almost pays for itself. We're also headed to Vegas and won't be able to attend.

We decided to stay in Shipsewana South campground since it's close to Lambright's and the Amish area. If we were going to Heartland's facilities, we'd stay in Elkhart. Thanks for the suggestions.

We'll be in the IN/OH/MI area this summer and planning a trip to Elkhart to look for replacement LR furniture. What are some good, reasonably priced campgrounds in the area (other than the Elkhart County Fairgrounds)?

We've been full-timing for two months and loving it. We sold our house without putting it on the market. A buyer practically fell out of the sky. We closed Feb. 26 and have yet to look back. We're learning from those who've been doing this for longer than us. Joined Escapees back in Jan.

For the past 2 months we haven't been able to get hot water using only the 120V mode. It functions fine in the 12V propane mode. When we had an impromptu "Water Heater Maintenance Day" after the North Texas Chapter Rally, I got motivated to delve into my problem.
Step 1 was to turn off all...
Just goes to show what can result from starting to get in the wrong truck!! LOL Donna and I couldn't be happier that you're part of the Heartland family and taking advantage of all the HOC can offer. Safe travels until we meet again, which I hope is soon.
David
Good to know in case I need any parts while visiting my family the area. Now you need another good RV park or two in the area to bring the prices down a little! We'll be staying in St Peters in 2 weeks.
Nancy, I just called Oak Creek and changed our arrival to Tuesday the 29th instead of Wed. The weather Tuesday looks better for moving camp. [emoji3]
