I've seen some after market ladders, but don't know if they are any better than the OEM ladder. The quality, or lack of, is pretty much industry standard.

Re: Suburban furnace won't start
Becky: I had a similar problem while camped in the desert last year. I had a service tech come out to the trailer and he replaced the "fan relay" switch. Works great ever since. I never would have identified the problem myself, let alone fix it. Suburban covered...
As I travel down the highway, the "bulb or D seal", I believe it's called, that is attached to the side of the trailer across the top of the slide works it's way out of the track toward the front so that I can have one or two feet of seal sticking out after a two hour drive. Heartland replaced...
Look for a knowledgeable neighbor willing to help you with the setup an prepare to be frustrated. Two important pieces of advice already mentioned: get the sat. app for your phone and do the initial setup directly into your box. Skip the RV connections until you know it works.
Yes, the front dipping is normal before the other jacks engage. I was told by Lippert that the initial lowering of the front tells the system that the front is not attached to anything, like the truck. Enjoy your leveling system. You will be the envy of many other campers.
Good idea to avoid the entire Sturgis area during the M/C rally. Everything is booked solid, including campgrounds. We stayed at Hart Ranch CG just south of Rapid City. One of the best we've been in. It is private and they take RPI and Coast to Coast. As for Cheyenne's Frontier Days, we found...
Required a call to the factory from my dealer to figure out how to turn that lite off. It sure was fun asking folks about it though and watching them do a detailed search of their memory banks. My favorite was, "must have been hard wired with no switch at the factory". When all else fails, blame...
When I run into a camp site that has a big disparity in the jack extension between a couple of the jacks, I use a 4x8 wood block under the jack with the long extension. That way you are not maxing out any of your jacks. You are familiar with the MANUAL mode on the "level-up" system?
I recently updated my profile name to include a picture and my signature to include a US map. These both appear when viewing my profile, but neither appear when I post. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?
Re: EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: WA, Deer Park (Spokane) - 7/25/2014 to 7/27/2014
Oh yes, we will be at the Oregon rally followed by the Jamboree and got a spot at Maryhill also. And before all this, we are attending the Regional rally in Sparks, NV., soon as the info is posted on it. We are...
Re: EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: WA, Deer Park (Spokane) - 7/25/2014 to 7/27/2014
Please add the Kramers, John & Deb to the list. Made the reservations for July 23-29, leaving on the 30th. We will be coming from the Oregon rally. Will let you know on the site # when I receive it. Thanks
Hi Kristy: Reservations are made for your Oregon Rally. We are arriving on July 10th thru 13th. We have also reserved the 14th thru 20th for the Jamboree. They will contact me with the particulars on the Jamboree when they get them figured out. And, we are going to WA. rally also. Will look at...
Looks like we will be adding both to our schedule. And our Heartland friends from Montana may be joining us in Spokane. Well, so much for the month of July.
Kristy: Is that really a DODGE I see in front of the Bighorn? I think it used to be a Chevy. Will be interested to talk with Mark on this one. Will make our reservations this week for the Oregon rally. We are heading to the Calif. coast tomorrow.
Hi Kristy: we asafe planning on making the rally in Sparks then work our way to Coos Bay for yours, but I haven't seen anything posted yet. We are in Pismo Beach with LTZ, Chuck & Donna and he gave me all the dates so I blocked them out. We had to can=el some other stuff, but we will be there...
Count the Kramer's, John & Deb, in for Jackson. We'll probably cross paths before then, but wanted to get it on the calendar now. Hope you guys get some well needed moisture up your way. More specifically, we will arrive on Sept. 17th and depart on Sept 24, for 7 nights.
I recently replaced the standard pin box on my Bighorn with the Air Ride Tri Glide. Now I'm left with an unsightly hole in the fiberglass where the pin box attaches to the frame, since the ABS cover no longer fits over the pin box. Does anyone make a plastic flange to cover the edges of the...
