I’d say the check valve at your water pump is not sealing completely, allowing water to get by check valve and into your tank. I’d also suggest getting a plug for gas quick disconnect fitting in the picture. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Just a thought. When you installed the new element in the off season, if you turned on the heater without water in the heater, you fried your element. Only takes about a second to fry it. Element should be around 10 ohms, when you get a meter. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
