    What generator to buy?

I have that one but not dual fuel. Bought at Costco in case to was too loud. But it's not, noise on par with Honda. It will sit for 6 months sometimes and takes one pull to start. Honda is the best but this one is a lot less $. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Tilting elect awning from a newbie elect awning owner

If it windy I'll pull down a little on both sides and tighten the nut. If it might rain lower one side more than the other. If you don't tighten the nut and it rains enough one side will lower and dump the rain, when it gets heavy enough, then pop back up Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    A Wet Bolt Tale

There are many good suggestions for pressing the new brass bushing into the spring eye. This is what someone suggested a few years ago on this forum. I've installed wet bolts on two of my Bighorns using this. Money you don't need to spend but it sure makes it easier...

lack of flush mounted MPPT controllers

lack of flush mounted MPPT controllers

I guess that the controller and display are all in one unit. I think the solar controller needs to be as close to the batteries as possible. I used a remote display for inside the trailer. http://www.morningstarcorp.com/products/tristar-remote-meter-2/ And this 60 amp controller...

Tire age and the debate over safety

Love that that picture. Thanks for posting it. We had a 1982 Coachman bunkhouse. We had for 20 years and spent most of our vacations in it when the kids were little. When I would replace the tires on our van, I would put those used tires on the Coachman. Ignorance is bliss. Sent from...

Most economic way to heat water. Propane or Electric

Propane recovery period would be quicker than electric (electric is only 120v). But, electric is included in short stay campground. So if you're taking showers , one right after the other, I'd use propane. Usually in full hookups I have both on. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Did the same thing on our 2016 3685RL. Changed to the Dometic 320 from Aqua Magic 2 mostly because I wanted an elongated bowl. Dometic 320 would not fit without modifications. I cut 3" ABS pipe behind basement wall and below toilet. Used two fittings to offset toilet flange about another 1"...

Re: Paper Gasket From your bottom picture, looks like there was a rubber gasket on the sink strainer. Rubber gasket should have installed on underside of sink. Rubber gasket first then paper gasket then 3 1/2" nut. The paper gasket is not really a gasket but a friction washer. Sent from...

The three on the bottom I'm not including in tax calculations. Batteries are very limited in deducting. The stuff above, most would be, I think. Decor, heat shrink, strain reliefs, some cabling and some others might be questionable. If there's a list of what's deductible I've never found...

Furnace heat only comes out of floor vents, unless you have heat pump option for the A/C units. You'll need to set the fan option, on your thermostat, to "auto". This will keep the A/C fans from coming on. Oops....As Jim has already said above. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
