    Noticed Hydraulic Fluid Leaking

We had a leak at the same point but on the end of one of the slideout rams. Ended up being a bad o-ring in that fitting. Bought a new fitting on Amazon (Lippert sells them cheaper, but then charges twice the cost of the part to ship it to you) and replaced it. No leakage since. Sadly, since...

2nd Annual Regional Beer Tasting Event

That's the one. Fortunately, it's easy to find in Kentucky. We'll be passing through there on the way to the rally.

2nd Annual Regional Beer Tasting Event

I can probably offer up a couple alternative drinks. I'll see if I can find a bottle of bourbon cream on the way to go with the Abita root beer I have and we can make bourbon root beer floats.

2nd Annual Regional Beer Tasting Event

I've been trying beers from the different areas we've been staying the last few weeks. None really jump out, so I've been forced to drink them all myself. I might have found something here in Nashville, though. Let me drink a couple more and I'll know for sure.

What did you do to your camper today?

Actually, if you look at a Heartland brochure and read carefully, you'll find that the Amish-made component is only the front facings of the drawers/cabinets. Still, I have a whole section in my box of extra hardware that contains little brad nails that I use whenever a drawer bottom starts...

What did you do to your camper today?

Might be able to. It was mentioned before when I posted the first part of this mod a couple months ago. Maybe I'll nose around during the rally.

What did you do to your camper today?

Finished up the extra storage cabinet I had started a couple months ago. Bought a piece of matching filler board from Home Depot and cut it down to four pieces. Used metal corner braces to hold it together and to hold it to the bottom of the cabinet. Redneck engineering (i.e. campground...

    Views From Your Campsite

We're in Nashville for a couple weeks while I show my face at the office. We stayed at the Seven Points COE campground last time we were here and really enjoyed it, so I booked this stay a few months ago (only site I could get spanning this past weekend). While it is only water/electric, we're...

    Wife' question about MCD shades

We've traveled with ours up and with ours down and never had a problem either way. In warmer weather, my wife leaves them all down when we travel (to cut down on heat). We might occasionally leave the rear one up.

question on hardwired surge protector - EMS-HW50C

This is what we did. We're on our third RV. We bought the EMS and a couple feet of wire for the first rig. It has followed us ever since.

    The insane roads we travel.

That 230 mph SUV is a special one-off version solely for trying to set an off-road record. They'll never be sold at a dealer. On the other hand, Jeep is introducing a Grand Cherokee with the 707 HP Hellcat engine in it. Should be a few of those wrapped around trees pretty soon.

High End Toyhauler Idea and observations

Your list of items is essentially why we don't have a toy hauler, though we've considered it before. The only "toy hauler" I've found that checked all my boxes was one of the DRV Fullhouse models. Well, every checkbox except the budget one. We can't mention prices on here, but for the out the...

    Sailun Tire Performance

We have 25,750 miles on ours (if you count the initial delivery trip from the factory to dealer, 26,000 total). Still have tons of tread and have had no problems whatsoever. They seem like winners, especially from a price-performance aspect. I, too, will replace with the same when it comes time.

    New Heartland Terry Classic owner!

Congrats. I love the new Terrys. If I had one I'd be tempted to redo the interior in a more retro style.

    27p bhs door keypad help

Since you can't open the document, here are the particulars: Changing the User Code The unit is shipped with a default user code of 1234, but can be changed to a 3-7 digit number. To change the user code: 1. Press the 9·0 button for approximately 3 seconds. Keypad lights should flash twice then...

Why doesn't Heartland use Tankless Heater & Command Center Touch Screen

We generally carry our remote in whatever vehicle we are driving the most. If we return to our rig and find that it is raining, we'll run the awning out remotely to minimize the distance we have to dash in the rain (especially if carrying groceries or other items). That said, we typically only...

Installed TorkLift's Glowstep Revolution Step System Today

They list the weight capacity of the four-step unit at 375 lb. I'm 210 and have all but jumped up and down on ours and they're solid.

Installed TorkLift's Glowstep Revolution Step System Today

You will want the 4-step model (probably - unless the 3010's frame is shorter than the larger Bighorns. Might want to measure vertical distance to be sure). The only choice you'll have to make is 25 1/2" wide (with spacers) or 27 1/2" wide (without spacers). The choice will be highly dependent...

    Replacing Tri-Shower Doors w/Waterfall Glass

If it is the same type of assembly, should be relatively easy to replace. The top rail is held on with two screws. Remove those screws and gently lift the top rail up and out. The three doors essentially hang off rails inside that top piece. They can be rolled right out of the end of the rail...

    Advance reservations or not

That's what we will do a lot. We use the Allstays app and usually will start looking and calling ahead while stopped for lunch. I hate just popping in and hoping for the best. I'd rather keep driving towards a known good destination than to keep pulling off and back on the highway looking for a...
