    Face Masks Forever

For my goose ball when not in use. Just in case nobody else has thought of this I’d thought I’d share. Keep your hands clean when installing and removing your goose ball. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rear Exterior Panel Separating From Exterior Sidewall

Hello all, We have a 2011 Sundance RE3100. Late last year I noticed the rear panel is seperating from the sidewall. I don't see any fasteners attaching the rear panel to the frame. I'm thinking I could peel the plastic trim bulb (that runs along the edge of the rear panel) out of its track, and...

    Almost Over

I don't come around here much if everything is going good. When it's not and I post looking for help and JohnDar has helped me several times. Other times I've been able to find the answer to my latest dilemma in an old post, and most of those had input from JohnDar. Thanks for all your help and...

    Sailun S637T Tires

I bought 4 Sailuns from Simple Tire in March ($608.64 total) and took them to America’s Tire to be installed. Back in March ST had the cheapest price to get 4 Sailun on my porch. I’m very happy with the ST experience and will go back unless a made in the USA tire of the same quality and closer...

COMPLAINT - 2019 Heartland Sundance XLT 312 BH

This is an industry wide problem I think. Unless you’re buying a very high dollar rig. I worked in a manufacturing field for over 30 years and saw the benefits from taking quality seriously. It’s contagious too, the assemblers have more pride in their work and doing things the right way becomes...

    Electric Slides Move Slow

No. He asked me if I was connected to shore power while parked at home and I told him I was. He said that I should disconnect my battery in that case because it would continually charge and lower battery life. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Electric Slides Move Slow

I'm going back to always being connected to shore power with the battery connected while parked at home. Never had a problem doing that before and it's handy to have power available if we need to go in the trailer for something. I only started disconnecting the battery because the tech told me...

    Electric Slides Move Slow

pegmikef Sorry for the slow update. After reconnecting the battery and letting it charge overnight the slides are back to working at normal speed. Thanks for the help! I slept better last night because of you : ) Gary The maintenance guy at our local RV dealer/repair shop recommend...

    Electric Slides Move Slow

We have a 2011 Heartland 3100ES 5thwheel with 3 slides (electric). I searched the forum for posts on this subject and everything I find seems to be for hydraulic actuated slides. Very little on the electric type so I’m creating this post. But if you can point me to a post with slow electric...

    Kayak Rack Under Basement

This pic is from the last campground we stayed at, the Silver Lake Resort. It’s about the only pic from our trip that shows the kayak rack and it also shows how they park your rig for you (save your “I’d never let anybody park my rig” comments please). They park/move them like this at the local...

    Kayak Rack Under Basement

Well we got home last night. Our trip took us to 5 campgrounds in the Sierras. We started on the west side and went to the Truckee/Tahoe area then down to the east side of the sierras and to Silver lake near Mammoth. Bottom line is the under the basement kayak rack was a complete success. Right...

That would be a last resort for me. If under the basement doesn’t work, I’ll modify the bike rack and they’ll ride back there. Augie Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kayak Rack Under Basement

WillyBill, I suspect they’ll get dirty riding under there. That’s a negative I can live with. On the other hand they’re protected from the sun. I’ll have them secured and supported when we go on vacation. We hit the road around the 8th of August, I’ll report back here soon afterwards. Thanks...

    Kayak Rack Under Basement

Thanks guys. The driveway isn’t as bad as it looks in the pic. But in a lot of cases it’s the most uneven transition of our trips. I’ll check how much clearance I have on my way out. That’ll give me a benchmark for the road. Thanks Augie Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kayak Rack Under Basement

Thanks. That’s an idea but to be honest I won’t do it. I’m in a time crunch right now. Worst case is I damage a kayak and have to carry them in the truck bed. If that happens or worse I’ll report back here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kayak Rack Under Basement

Has anybody else tried this? I saw one post where folks had mounted a ladder carrier under the front, but nothing this low. I haven’t had it on the road yet but plan to next mont. The obvious question is how low is too low? Thoughts? I’ll try and attach a picture. Augie Sent from my iPhone...

    Sundance Door Cracks

The new skin is tucked under the edge caps that frame the door. I cut the new pieces about a 1/4 inch bigger than what is exposed, and slid it under the edge caps. It's a tight fit. I used a putty knife first to open a little gap and compress the core a little. After all three of the new skins...

    Sundance Door Cracks

The entrance door on our 2011 Sundance began to crack on the interior side of the door. It started cracking about 3 years after we bought it in 2011. We have an extended warranty but repairing the door wasn’t covered and a new door costs $650+ if I remember correctly. So today with a little help...

    Bike Hitch Option.....with pictures!!

I built and installed my hitch this week end. I copied Iduguay’s (the original poster) design. I used 2” square tubing with a .250” wall thickness. For the angles I used 3” X 4”, .250” thick. The 4 inch leg gave me and extra inch I needed to clear my stabilizer jacks. My stabilizer jacks have a...

I ran out of Landing Gear Fuses

We it’s been a busy summer but we finally got to take the Sundance out a couple of weeks ago and we still have a problem. Getting the 5er off the truck went well, but trying to level it was another story. I tried short bursts with maybe a 20 second rest between switch hits, but nothing worked. I...

I ran out of Landing Gear Fuses

Just to update this thread, our Landing Gear is back in working order. I picked the Sundance up last week from our local shop. They installed a new motor. Let’s hope it lasts 10 years instead of a year and a half. For general information, when the RV dealer called to tell me that we needed a new...

I ran out of Landing Gear Fuses

Thanks for all the replies. I was hoping Heartland would have something to say too. I'm going to CW tomorrow and see about getting a 30 amp circuit breaker. Danemayer, yes the battery is fully charged. Although it could have some bad cells now that I think about it. We didn't have any other 12...

I ran out of Landing Gear Fuses

Please excuse me while I beat the landing gear fuse subject to near death with my landing gear crank.</SPAN> We’ve had our Sundance 3100ES for a little over 2 years now. Up until this year the only time I had trouble with the landing gear was when I retracted it too high. I put a marker stripe...

What does inside Fridge Light Blinking mean?

Well we’re home now. But there is a problem somewhere in the 12v system. The battery was dead again Sunday morning when we broke camp to come home. So I plugged the 5th wheel into the truck and everything worked fine, slides in, rear jacks up and the landing gear. However when we got home the...

What does inside Fridge Light Blinking mean?

Hello everybody, We're "camping" in Columbia CA. This afternoon I turned the radio on in the entertainment center and the lights and sound would come on, and then go out. A few minutes later I opened the refrigerator and the light inside was blinking. We have the A/C going and it’s running...

backing, hooking & unhooking limitations with a 5er

Re: hooking/unhooking at an angle Galnelson, you said “slight incline” and then leveling out. I don’t see a problem. We park ours on an incline and unhitch while at an angle. You can’t tell from the pic but it’s not a straight shot, I have to come in at an angle. No problem hitching back up and...

12 Hours of Sebring Race this weekend

    Bearing and Seal Part Numbers

Wheel Bearing and Seal Part Numbers I posted this on another tread and probably should have just started a new thread. Hookups for a gas grill

RickMN, Where did you have to add a hole? We have a QD near our door also but it's under the belly and accessible. I'm hoping there aren't 12 types of QD fittings when I go to buy one for the grill I haven't bought yet.

Lee, Ray...Thanks for the quick replies! This forum is giving me some confidence. First item that went wrong Saturday was the landing gear won’t move in either direction. Day/Night Shade missing from 1 window?

We took our new Sundance out Saturday for a one night shakedown trip. We brought it home a couple weeks ago but this was our first chance to take her out. Mattress quality

We just bought a brand new Sundance. I am surprised that it has such an inferior mattress in the bedroom. I can push down on the corner with my hand and it goes to the bottom of the mattress. So far we love everything else about it. Just annoyed that we will have to buy a new mattress.

    Noisey Fireplace

Thanks for the reply Jim. We'll put it on our list of things we want the dealer to look at. The only other item so far is a piece of border (the decretive stripe on the walls) that is beginning to peel off. We look forward to visiting this site for info. Linda & Augie

    Noisey Fireplace

We picked up a 2011 3100 ES yesterday and watched a movie in it last night. We were playing with things and turned on the fireplace with no heat, just the lights/flame and it was noisy. It sounded like a hamster running on one of those wheels. I found this thread looking to see if this was...
