    HotWater Heater bypass valve

It might be low-tech, but it works great! One of my 90 deg. hot water connections broke. If you go to Home Depot, don't bother asking anyone because they have no clue about their inventory. Find a 2 brass male air nipples and a brass 90 deg. with matching threads and 2 appropriately sized...

    bedroom slide

This thread is a bit old, but worth a try... Has anyone changed the orientation of the bed? It's a hassle to get in an out of. As an example of what I'm trying to do, if you've seen the layout of the Voltage 3950, that's what I'd like if possible.

Saggy Wooden Floor - Kitchen area

We full-time in a 2009 Cyclone 3950. When we bought this thing, I asked and was told by the dealer that the flooring was 1 inch marine plywood. To sell that, he showed us the slide-out area from the outside. As a new buyer, what else was I supposed to think? We moved to Houston and after 8...

What are you pulling the Cyclone 3950 with?

Just finished pulling my 2009 cyclone 3950 with a 1995 F-350 DRW (E40D), and wow... From the stoplights, I could watch the fuel gauge go down. Once I got up to speed, it did just fine.

    3950 Owners Help Please?

Nope, they are not secured. Be glad, because when you lose something behind it, that's the only way to get it out. The ends (LH,RH) come out first, then the middle. When you start having water leaks, this comes in handy too. A good fungicide tends to prevent mold. Removing the carpet...

    3950 Design Flaw

Yeah, I had the same problem when the 45degree connector on my hot water line blew out, and when the hose connected to the faucet end broke. Better kill the breakers on your utility pole first. Likely to get zapped with 240vac if you mess with the interior breakers before those.

Has anyone had issues with water leaks in their Heartland Landmark?

3950 cyclone The fridge drain crumbled to nothing and has been allowing water to disintegrate the floor by the slide out. This took me a while to trace. Any thoughts on how to fix this without shop time? We are full timing and don't have any other option than to fix it in place.

Commercial diver needs advice on where to long term in Houma.

Well, it's been a year of rv'ing here in Houston. Almost Heaven RV Park in Manvel has been a great place for us. I have started my career as a Diver/Tender and have no complaints with this living arrangement.

Thanks for the replies folks :) I looked these sites up, but no real reviews from any residents... Has anyone actually stayed at any of the parks there?

Western wagon, We've been at it for 7 months now. You're going to love it! Make sure to video the walk-thru at the dealer. You'll likely forget something that isn't explained well in the manual.

    2009 Cyclone 3950 Garage Bathroom...

I honestly haven't smelled anything this bad since I worked in the Lawton sewers. Despite regular cleaning of the tank (chemicals), every time we dump the tank, it's like chemical warfare is in progress. A few months back, I tried to install one of those cheesy Cyclone Vents from PPL... To...

    Water Heater Switches

Ditto on Ann's comment, Richard. The owners manual seems to be more of a disclaimer than usable info. Maybe Richard should start a series similar to Haynes? :)

    Only thing I didn't check

On that illuminated red switch, when it's on, we have hot water along with hot air being pushed out from a vent in the kitchen area. I'm starting to wonder if it isn't emergency heat? It for sure keeps the ac on and the electric bill high. P.s. I did check the 'manual' that came with my...

    Second AC freezing up

Just an update... I wound up having to tear out the control board. Tracing the freeze up connection on the board back to the relay, unsoldering it and tearing the relay apart, found it to be stuck in the open position. I cleaned up the contacts and put some electrical lubricant on there for...

    Second AC freezing up

I have a similar problem with mine as well, except it isn't dripping inside. Even when we have the ac off, the compressor cycles until it freezes up. I popped off the top cover and didn't see anything amiss, even under the cover for the compressor. It didn't do this when running from the...

    anyone pull a 3795 with a 3/4 ton ?

I'd love to know how often the Police pull trailers over. Over the past 20 years of driving in Texas, I've never seen that happen. I'll just go grab some 4500 doors ;) Jasons09Cyclone has been doing it with a slightly modified F250 for the past 4 years without any problem. Looks like the...

    Loft Mattress

I just wanted to thank you for your recommendation. We bought the queen size for the happi jak and weighed in at 77 lbs. The max says 300 lbs, but the tech said it was more like 250. It doesn't fit perfectly, but that's a good thing as it allows room for our daughter to lay her assorted...

    Loft Mattress

We finally bought our 3950 on the 10th of this month. The futon idea for the happy jack bed fits the bill and actually costs less than the standard foam from Indiana. We're still having a problem finding replacements for the double loft though. We will be leaving soon and the shipping costs...

    Interior lighting....

I thought the LED's were supposed to run cool... As I'm looking at those for replacements, how does the lighting system in the trailer work? Is it 110vac, or 12vdc? Is a converter used for the big items like Fridge, TV, AC? I can't seem to find this info in any of the posts, and no, I...

I'm getting to this thread a bit late. Did the futon mattress leave them enough room to move around? I was going to ask if anyone could suggest a good foam one for my 12yr old boys, and teenage daughter. I just don't want them getting the back problems that I have. We will be full-timing it...

    3950 towing question

Oh, one more question... what really determines the max pin weight that the truck can handle? I understand that the frame on the dodge 2500-4500 is the same. Is it just the suspension? A different tranny? They all have the same engine, so.... I'm not really a big 'fan' of blown or bent...

    3950 towing question

Hello All! I've seen this discussion a lot lately. It seems to be a toss-up between the Ford 450 and the Dodge 3500 DRW's. We've made up our mind on the 3950 and that's what we are getting soon. Without a good tow vehicle, that RV is just going to be sitting in the dealers lot. Supposing we...

San Antonio RV Show and Sale

Jim, For a first RV Show, that was great! They did have some Cyclones and one of them was a 3950. Strangely, they were the only ones with them there. Even though it wasn't what we were looking for, it was good to actually lay-hands on the trailers instead of just watching the youtube videos.
