    Cyclone Rally at Edwards AFB!

I retired from the Air Force yesterday, and started my new career as a contractor at Edwards AFB. I'm staying at the FamCamp until we get the AZ house sold and we can buy up in Tehachapi. There are 2 other Cyclones here, which is the most I've ever seen in one place (besides the dealership)...

Great Service in Sun City, Az

I want to give a shout out to Kevin and the family at Van's RV in Sun City, AZ. They've done a fantastic job taking care of my family (and my rv) several times when I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan the last two years. They go out of their way to make things right, and do great work...

    Happyjack bed brackets broken

As I was setting up in N CA, the lower bunk would not lower passed the upper bunk stops in one corner. I discovered 3 of the 4 brackets had popped the welds on the upper portion, and one had bent slightly (the binding one). I had to remove the stop, then the bed would lower. My lower bunk folds...

    Our First Cyclone Thanksgiving

I am on temporary duty at Beale AFB, CA before heading to Afghanistan after Christmas. My wonderful wife and kids are staying here with me, and we celebrated Thanksgiving with all the fixings. I was skeptical we would be able to pull it off, but my DW had it all figured out and got everything...

    Buy Your Parts from Heartland!

I called Heartland today and ordered the parts I needed to repair damage from a tire blowout. With my 10% member discount, I saved over 50% (~$500) by buying directly from them vs through my local dealer. I don't mind throwing the dealer a bone every so often, but I will buy all my parts direct...

TOWMAX Claim denied - Anyone been successful?

I finally got my form letter in the mail today from Dynamic, attached below. Based on the verbage, I highly doubt they have ever paid a claim. Eric at Heartland passed the buck to TBC, who passed it to Dynamic. Dynamic took a month to mail me the letter - they won't say anything on the phone...

    Mount St Helens

Is it feasible to drive my Cyclone up to the Johnson Observatory at Mt St Helens? It appears they have RV parking there. I want to see it, but we only have a few hours to stop along the way.

    Help with West Coast planning

Hi all! I am meeting my family in Missoula, Mt on the 4th of July (they've been about visiting family the last three weeks). We have twelve days to work our way back to Phoenix. We'll be sepnding a few days in North Bend, WA. If anyone has any suggestions on places to camp there (that we can...

    Any experience with wind deflectors?

Has anyone tried the wind deflectors they make to go on top of your pickup cab? I'm wondering if they really make any difference in fuel mileage, or are they just another way to pull money out of my pocket?

    My 3800 Mods

I'll have to admit, when I bought a new trailer, I didn't imagine how much work it would be getting it ready. I should have known better, because I am always remodeling / restoring something, and why wouldn't a trailer be any different. Thanks to this forum I got lots of ideas. I've finally...

Any experience with Spartan tuner and DPF delete?

I'm considering installing the Spartan tuner and deleting the DPF (2008 F-350 6.4L). Hoping to get better mileage and increase longevity. I hate seeing that filter run...Truck has 110k miles on it, so I'm not concerned with the warranty. Any experience positive or negative would be appreciated.

    Hydraulic slide operation

And the newby questions just keep on coming... Is there any way to isolate which slides open or how much (2012 3800)? It looks to me like this system is routed in series, but I thought I'd ask. I can certainly think of times and places that I wouldn't have the room to open all 3 slides up all...

    Flushing black tank #2

Not what some of you might be thinking... My 3800 has two blackwater tanks. Does the black water flush connection in the utility bay only flush the front black water tank (#1)? I'm not seeing a way to divert the water between tanks. Thanks!

Picking up new 3800 on Thursday

We are finally picking up our new 3800 on Thursday:cool:. Any advice on things to look for or do at delivery? We plan on videotaping everything so we can look back and see what we forgot!

Does anyone make custom length awnings?

I wanted to install an awning on the living room slideout on my 3800 (taking delivery soon). The dealer said we can't, because they are only available in 10' or 11', and this one would need to be 10.5' long. The 10' would cover parts of the windows, and the 11' is too long. The front awning...

Adding awning to 3800 over slideout

The 3800 we are buying has two awnings, one on each side of the living room slideout. My wife is concerned that we will wish there was one over those big picture windows. Has anyone added an awning to the slideout or over the slideout? I'd like to get it done before we take delivery, and I'm...
