Yes, they phased it out due to the downturn in the economy. I am actually surprised that they haven't restarted a TH line.

Re: CY 4200 release date? I don't know about everyone else, but I can't really say that this is something I have not seen before. Not that I'm going to buy it, just that I was expecting something that.... I hadn't seen before. The 4200 is "sort of" new. The 2011 Open Range Rolling Thunder had...

Decisions, decisions, decisions! cy 4100king, cy 3800, or rw 425

My bet is once you actually are in and walk through, sit down and move around in, and do the things you will normally do in each of the floor plans you are interested in, one will emerge as the better choice for you. Seeing them in pictures just isn't the same. Good luck to you, and enjoy the...

Re: Well, it's time to ask about the 4200 again??? I noticed that too. Now, it may be that there is an add-a-room added to the patio deck, so that would be about 8.5x12, and that driver's side slideout looks to be about 12X3, and that super deep slideout could be a telescoping slideout (or an...

Re: Well, it's time to ask about the 4200 again??? Yes, it is deep. That's interesting. It could certainly be a side ramp patio, but they've said that this is something completely new. Keystone already has a toy hauler with side and end patios. On the Keystone, the side patio as it the back...

    I just bought a 2013 Torque 301

Good. I am glad to hear that about pulling it with the SRW. Well, the CY 3800 and the TQ 380 appear to be the same floor plan. Only the Torque will probably cost about $10,000 less...if that matters. ;)

    I just bought a 2013 Torque 301

I see. Thank you. But did you actually pull any steep grades with it? We have an F-350 PSD, SRW and the numbers are getting closer than I'd like. The problem will be when we have to carry water. I did see the 380, but my bet is that it's going to exceed our GCWR (20,000). So is that what...

    I just bought a 2013 Torque 301

Hi Bjoseph. We are considering the TQ 301. What are you towing it with?

    2 FULL Baths please!

Right. And around here, one can still crap in the woods. Simply dig a small hole, then cover your business. The rest is just biodegradable soap and water, and certainly not in large quantities.

    Cyclone 4200

Re: Well, it's time to ask about the 4200 again??? The good news is that those who are interested have another three months to save up more money for their down-payment.
  14. M

    2 FULL Baths please!

This is exactly our answer. We just don't have the tow capacity for a toy hauler with two baths, so we have decided to utilize the outside shower by making a shower curtain with a bendable rod and suction cups on either end, and buying a shower mat. We will be boondocking most of the time...

AJJones: Any updates on the TQ 380?

Hi AJ - Can you tell us when there will be updates on this floor plan? Is it safe to assume that whatever the new concept Cyclone is will also be applied to this Torque model? Or will this be something different? Thanks!

Re: CY 4200 release date? Yeah, something similar to that, but full wall slide outs on both sides with no "break". But I just remembered that even full wall slides on both sides has been done before, but it's on a motor home rather than a fifth wheel. The Rexhall RexAir . The one side isn't...

Re: CY 4200 release date? Thank you for the new link! Yeah, I didn't think this was for the 4200. I gathered that whatever they are doing with the 4200 is something that has not been seen before. I did some math, which I think I posted about somewhere here before, and my theory is full wall...

Re: CY 4200 release date? The link doesn't work, and I can't even get any website to come up doing a general search for the company. Could HL have asked them to take it down for now? Anyhow, I don't think that's a totally new concept. There are motorhomes that allow for everyone to be up on...

Re: Well, it's time to ask about the 4200 again??? Yep. Nearly double the square footage. Some have mentioned going up also, which sounds pretty cool. I have my own theory about what it is, so I can't wait to see just how far off I was. ;)

    Cyclone 4200

Re: Well, it's time to ask about the 4200 again??? Also an indicator that the 4200 and 270HG are two totally different animals is the fact that the HL website says the 4200 is 619 square feet.

Heartland to Unveil Industry-First Hidden Garage

Has everyone seen the pics for this one on HL's Facebook? Looks great for couples with a smaller truck who want to carry a bike or other smallish cargo. Not so great for families. Hopefully there are many other Torque floor plans in the making that are well-suited for families with a one ton...

Heartland to Unveil Industry-First Hidden Garage

That's not bad at all for an F-150, though! I know...some things end up being a mute point. Well, let's hope they bring us something that works well for both of us! :>) I do have to say I'm a bit disappointed that there is only one slide. I presume the bedroom is going to be tight without at...

Heartland to Unveil Industry-First Hidden Garage

On the web site, they have it with the fifth wheel floor plans. What's the trailer tow capacity of your F-150? That probably is pretty limiting. You could buy an older used truck and not get into too much money - maybe $17,000 or so. We bought an older SRW F-350 with a turbo diesel, and we're...

Heartland to Unveil Industry-First Hidden Garage

I'd really like to see it. When do they plan on showing us? I wish they had unveiled it at the Hershey show. There were a whopping two Torques there, and neither was the floor plan I was hoping to see.

    Cyclone 4000

Yes, you are right. And this is precisely why we have decided not to go with any of the the big, heavy rigs. It's just getting into too much money to buy a medium-duty truck, plus the cost of the RV. Instead we are looking at the Torque toy haulers and other lighter, but still well insulated...

Have you seen what the Australians camp with?!

Yes I have! They are very innovative! My favorite is the Kimberley Kruiser. This thing comes ready to go off the main road and stay there a while. It comes with several solar panels on the roof, gray water from the shower is filtered and reused by the washing machine, and everything is low...

Questions on the Insulation in Gateway

Bryan - I noticed recently on the web site that higher R-values are quoted for the Gateway than when I had originally brought this up. Has Heartland increased thickness of the foam, or is something else the source of the higher quoted values?

    Gateway News from Heartland!

We can't wait to finally see a Gateway at this week's RV show. I noticed on the website that it looks like they have upgraded the insulation! Woot! Woot! Thank you, Heartland! Now, about the insulation in those toy haulers... :D

Looking to purchase Heartland Torque 321

Oh no...a black cap?! I think that only draws the heat right to it. We'll stick with a white one. Anyhow, I know what you mean. We've been wanting an RV for a few years now, and it has taken a lot of time to get things into place, because we had to buy a bigger truck first. Having said that, I...

Looking to purchase Heartland Torque 321

I've been told that models manufactured after a certain point, or perhaps the next model year, will have the patio option as well as the larger shower.

    Cyclone 4000

It's a very loaded question with many variables. We found out the hard way after we bought our truck. At least you are asking these questions beforehand. Keep asking and learning, because this is vitally important. To find the answer to that, you need to find out what the towing specs and gross...

    Cyclone versus Voltage

Really?? Where did you see it? I was just on their site yesterday and didn't see it. Hmmmm....Well, I'll keep any eye out for it, but we are leaning hard toward the Heartland due to the foam insulation. As far as I can tell, GD uses fiberglass, but I'll still be interested to see what they come...

    Cyclone 4200

Re: Well, it's time to ask about the 4200 again??? Good question. We are watching the Torque toy hauler, since it appears they are applying this new Cyclone concept to the Torque as well. Hopefully it is something that doesn't up the weight and pin weight so much that even the Torque one is...
