This is also the way I went with the trailrunner RK we had. Pro Pride is every bit as good as Hensley and is less costly. I saved the hitch when we traded in the trailer and it is for sale. If the OP or anyone for that matter, is interested feel free to private message me and I can give you the...
Congrats you two !!!! The N.J. chapter is officially in good hands. If you still have my number give me a call. If not PM me we'll need to talk. Now I'll go in and renew my membership LOL ;-)
Much like getnbye I was curious about flying in for the rally. It would give us a great opportunity to meet left coast members though we're still not able to commit that much time to RV travel. Is this a possibility?? ED.
OK Set the truck and trailer up on level ground. measure height of the TRAILER frame rails to check for level front to back. The measurements should be close to the same. If not, those four bolts you see are the way to adjust it. The head will come off if you pull the big pin in the center of...
This is probably gonna need a bit more information. Pictures along with a manufacturer and model of your hitch will give people with that type hitch an opportunity to chime in. I'm pretty sure all hitches are height adjustable...just not sure if all mfr's adjust the same way. I doubt that's the...
JUST replaced the thetford with a Dometic and IT IS that easy!!! Took longer to unpack the new toilet than to install it. Your new should come with a seal as ours did. Only wish I had thought about the shutoff when I put the toilet in. Now I'm thinking I should go ahead and put in the shutoff as...
OK I finally bought a truck.......used of course. My problem is this....it has a set of draw tite rails in it with a gooseneck hitch. I'd like to go with a "normal" 5th wheel hitch. My question is are the spreads on the legs from front to rear the same with all manufacturers or are they company...
I have an older Sundance and the "scare light" switch is a household looking switch in the entry closet. If you flip the switch on it turns on the light. When you switch the light on then off then on again it activates the motion sensor.
Congrats on the new 'Runner. My wife and I enjoyed ours until we bought the Sundance. Here's hoping you make many memories and enjoy your investment for a long time to come. ED.
This post I really hate to make!!! We're going to have to cancel our trip to Ocean City. The sale of our home, my recent minor surgical procedure and the search for a new house have to take precedence. Life gave us lemons and wouldn't you know it? I'm out of sugar,so no lemonade!!! Hope you all...
Another vote for the airlift bags. Put them on my GMC and they not only do the job but smoothed the ride when not towing. I've been told that firestone customer service can be a bit lacking, hence the airlift bags. ED.
I got mine from CW because 1. I needed a short queen and 2. it was a really good deal on sale. If your bed is full size you can probably do better price wise from someone else. Also, as with anything else there are different models to consider. CW is pretty much limited on their selection. If...
Even the inexpensive Camping world short queen mattress from sleep number is comfy. We added a memory foam topper and now sleep better in the camper than we do at home on $3,500 temper pedic.
If it is a pull rite hitch you can call an RV dealer. They have universal capture plates that fit any pin box. Very simple install. A few shims to even it out and 1 set screw and you're done. The one they put on my pin box works great.
If you mean a bed saver that attaches to the hitch...
If you're getting the noise when it is at the end of it's travel that is normal. If it's while the slide is going in or out you might want to have someone look at it.
We held off as long as we could, but unfortunately due to work schedules we won't be able to make the rally. Hope everyone has a good time. We'll definately see you in Maryland in Sept. ED.
I am a faithful reader of Rebecca's blog since stumbling upon it. She has a great talent for telling a story. Check out her blog on the web . Once you get a sense of her humor you'll be hooked too. Then donate to a good cause. ED.
Quite frankly if after a year and a half all I had to complain about in my RV was a faulty toilet seat I'd be thanking my lucky stars!!!! Here's a concept: replace the seat and get over it. ED.
The oozing goo on the seam in the picture appears to be butyl caulk if you stick a fingernail in it and the mark stays that's what it is. Use a plastic putty knife and remove as much as you can. After that use goo gone to remove any residue. That stuff is great at sealing ,but NEVER sets up...
After swapping out tires and wheels today I can officially say covered lug nuts. Stainless steel over base metal. Some of mine are cracking from age and or removal. I'll replace them as well when I get the opportunity. ED.
Jamie, I did my air bags with the wheels off as I was installing the hitch at the same time. I noticed a definate improvement in ride quality when not towing. The airlift bags are great in my opinion. According to the instructions 1 pound of air is equal to 40 pounds of lift. They say you're...
With all the trick/bells and whistles....I do believe Duane is gonna be the only rv'er alive to get more for his rig at resale than the original purchase price. You ROCK dude!!!!
