Me I would non-op the trailer and being it is stored on sight go out and fire up everything off and on for the next two years. Ours has set for 10 months one time as I went back to work to pay it off, nothing fell apart. I would not cover it just the tires. The economy is not all that good for...
Sad for sure, but to think a fine, lose their hunting lic. for life won't stop these jerks from doing it all over again. Like John Wayne said "you can't fix stupid"
It would be interesting to see how many peeps on here that said they never feel the need for a weapon for protection and would rely on the police to respond. It's a sad day in this great country that even the police can't protect themselves now let alone us. Be safe out there.
Visit Colorado, when we go out to visit with our son I keep an eye out on the garage sales. I've seen some good deals, cash and carry, but a gun stores won't sell to Ca. If your in Oregon they have the quick check system 10 min. I bought a nice Russian SKS and was out the door in 20 min. 6 years...
Put a hitch on our Sundance 3300SK 3 years ago and have had no problem double towing. I got a wired rearview camera off ebay and it works great. I picked up the tail/turn/brake lights on the entry door side as that is where they split and go to the rear, then just ran the wire to the rear to the...
There are a lot of good diesels out there that haven't hardly towed anything. My 2001 has 79,000+ and rarely leaves the drive that it doesn't have 12,000 lbs behind it. It's a great truck but has not been babied much.
I saw in the paper the other day that Vermont passed a conseal carry law no permit required, as have 8 other States. Would be nice if all States had it.
Sounds like it is out of adjustment. Mine did the same thing, trying to remember how I fixed it. I believe I ran it out about 12" and pulled or pushed the stove end in or out and adjusted the bolt up to it to take the slack out. Wished I could be more help, but I've slept several time since....LOL
With my Sundance you could do a hitch haul, I carried a 3000 Honda, but cut the hitch haul down just wide enough to fit the Honda.. The width is what will stop sharp turns, I had about 18" to 22" from the Honda to the 5er. Got tired of the humping the Honda and went with 2 EU 2000.
Looks great, I'm trying to talk the wife into changing the Rhino for a Sammi. That way we can drive on the roads to go explore. Any towing issues with the Suzuki? Also how long it the Suzuki and tow bar combined?
UPDATE:
Picked up the rig today. What the dealer found were the screws that hold the rear wall to the side walls were only catching by 1/2" (2" screws), no water intruesion. Replaced with 3" screws and pulled back into place. Will keep an eye on it and maintain it myself if it happens again...
Like them real well, have had them on for 6 years and no problems. I run Uniroyal Laredos 265 80 16R 10 ply. Got 41,000 out of the last set and generally if the truck moves it has the 5er on it.
Thanks for the repiles, can't see anything to do with water intrution. The slide is about 3' from the end. Never have had any leaks in the walls or ceiling areas at all. It's going in for a quick check Monday as we head for the coast for a week, will make an appointment to fix when we get back...
Has anyone had their rear wall start to separate from the 2 side walls? Mine is starting at the bottom on both sides and working its way up, about a 1/4" on one side and a 1/8" on the other. Taking the 5er in on Monday to the dealer. Hope it's an easy fix as this is a good rig and we love it...
I'd look at air bags or Timbrens, they will stabilize also for under $500.... JMHO You can put extra tires under your truck, but just takes away from the amount of weight you can carry.
Thanks Jim, guess I should have put down the measurements. the old sink was 25"X17 1/2"X5" deep. The new one is 25"X19" the large side is 14"X12"X7" deep and the vegie side is 14"X8 1/2"X5" deep.
