For those of us still trying to make plans to attend this Rally, can you recommend other nearby campgrounds that are within easy driving distance?
We will be in the region in Sept and are hoping to attend...
Jack & Nancy (Chattanooga TN)
I have one of the Lowe's Cobalt portables as well. It runs off either 12v or 110v and is a great device. Just not sure how it will hold up topping off tires at 100psi+....

I use a CURT Q24 and not sure if this "fix" applies to it as well. I dont worry much about a little noise but get bothered when I feel slack in the hitch connections.
Those rubber pads may help with the noise but are not going to make a bit of difference about anything more serious.
As a word...
GARMIN BC03 Rearview Cam on a Cyclone 3110
Recently finished installing a Garmin BC03 Rearview "Wireless" Cam on my Cyclone 3110 Toyhauler.
I selected the GARMIN Rearview Cam system because I did not want to add any separate displays on the truck dash and wanted a "packaged" solution to...
Finally loaded up the RZR and ready to head west to Arizona for the rest of the winter. My RZR 900s was a tight fit in the 3110 10ft garage but it worked out fine.
Clearly a RZR 4-seater or 1000 would need a larger garage but this one just fits in the Cyclone 3110.
Diesel in the Chattanooga area has been $1.99 for months at several locations... It just dropped to 1.96 at a couple of places... Hope the trend continues as we will be heading west to AZ in few weeks.
Hwy 23 is a good route south out of Waynesville.... should be ok while towning... About the only no-risk route is heading for an Interstate and sit back an enjoy the ride...
I have a similar truck, 2015 Silverado but a 2500 and use a CURT Q24 hitch. I have about 6 1/2" clearance off the bedrails and would not want to have any less than that.
I also have a Truxedo rollup bed cover that reduces the bedrail clearance about 1/2 inch. The only problem I have is...
I just completed doing the same mod on my 3110... Did some carving on the original tire carrier then remounted it 2 ft forward and above the bottom lip of the frame.
As Dave mentioned it is a tedious job but now I have 14" ground clearance for the tire even though I still have just 12" for the...
This is a heads-up for anyone that has recently had the MorRyde Independent Suspension & Disk Brake upgrade installed on their trailer. Mine was installed in June, 2015.
Within 200 miles on the road after the install was done, I noticed one of the outer caps was missing from the axle. On...
We special ordered our 2015 Cyclone 3110 from Big Daddy RVs in London, Ky and got a much better price than we found anywhere else, including the far north dealers.
We picked it up in KY with no false assumptions about followup service, did the full PDI, then left and never went back. The few...
I have looked at those speakers on our Cyclone many times and shake my head. If I wanted music outside there are many great options now with Bluetooth hi on the list. why would l want holes cut in the side of my trailer?
If I ever special order another one no holes will be a required feature!
This was our 3rd Heartland Rally but the 1st one with the Tennessee Chapter... We can see now why everyone wants to go to Byrd and Nathan's rallies!
It was a really great weekend plus we met lots of new folks that we hope to see again at another HL event.
Thanks Byrd and Nathan for a really...
Just got the part number and ordered one...#43957
Updated: 11/1/2015 HL offered to sell me one of the new tire carriers at cost for about $76. but then they quoted over $116 to ship it to TN!
With a quote like that its pretty clear they didn't want to be bothered with it!
The new one is...
When you change the hitch height and pin-box settings you really need to take a close look at how the truck rails and camper nose come together, especially at extreme angle maneuvering. The 6" clearance may be deceiving...
I have been working for some time on leveling my Cyclone 3110 with my...
I have two of the G1Ws and think they are great for the price. I have been using one in my truck for over a year without problems and now have one installed in my OHV Polaris RZR. There are several variations of the G1W but I like the ultra wide angle version, G1W-H. They are available on...
Take a look at EEZ-RV products... for a nice ladder mount for most any flagpole.
http://eezrvproduct.com/ALUMINUM-FLAG-AND-WIND-SOCK-POLE-MOUNT-FOR-LADDER-SET-EEZ-RV-FPMNT.htm
I am using their ladder mount with one of the Harbor Freight flagpoles. The mount is holding up better than the...
We had MorRyde install both the I/S & Disk Brakes on our Cyclone 3110 before the Rally at Goshen. The Improvement in both braking and ride was obvious immediately.
Not a cheap upgrade but they do a great job. Had a couple of issues but they are helping us with them now...
We also stayed at Jolly Roger in Marathon 2 yrs ago and it is a very nice but crowded park. Last year we discovered a small park (BoneFish Bay) , on the water near Key Colony / Marathon. They have some great sites on the bay but are always fully booked in Jan-Mar.
You might be able to get...
I have the same truck and use a Curt Q24 hitch and have never needed a slider. If I tried to turn any sharper than 88 degrees the pin box would hit the truck sides first anyway....
The high sides on the GM trucks are also likely to put you into a nose high posture that isn't easily solved...
Nose high problems are an ailment of the recent model Chevy's due to the high bed sides.... and trailer mfgs have not raised clearance to compensate....
Not easily corrected....
A couple of related suggestions...
Consider the Curt Q20 or the Q24 instead....nice insurance for very few bucks...
I have a like-new plastic Shroud that is used to cover the oem 1621 Pinbox on late model Cyclones....Color is Alloy Gray.
Negotiable for sale or trade... available at Goshen.
This item will be FREE to the first person interested as I do not plan to haul it back to Tenn...!
Below are a couple of file pictures for perspective... but, I would check closely and maybe call Heartland about the structural issues as I seem to remember that the stronger door framing was only used if the Cyclone was factory ordered with the Patio option...
I am interested to hear if any Cyclone owners with 10' garage are hauling a Polaris RZR and particularly the later models that are 105-106" long...
I have been easily hauling my CanAm Spyder RT in our Cyclone 3110 and it is about the same overall length...
When we were ordering our 2015 Cyclone 3110, we went through the same process but decided to take a chance and get the patio option along with the rear awning and the 4-season wall... As you can see below, we have sure enjoyed it to the max during our first year...
Enjoy it! We sure do love out 2015 3110 after traveling & camping several thousand miles thru a bunch of Southeastern states...
but, do consider replacing those oem tires/wheels asap.... not later!
Try Outdoor Resorts of Chokoloskee if you want to spend some time in the Everglades. It has very nice facilities and the waterfront sites are really impressive.

A friend of mine with an older Cyclone 3110 had a similar problem and HL sent him some heavy plastic strips which he installed under the slide to provide a more sturdy surface for the rollers... see pic below of this repair... but call HL for details !
You just won't believe how much better the Bilstein's handle the "bounce" until you try them.
One of the best bang-for-the-buck improvements you can do to almost any tow vehicle...
Re: Goodyear H-rated G-114's blow out
I have read about blowouts with 3-4 yr old Goodyear G614s but this the first time I have heard of any 17.5 tire blowout...
Here are a couple of low-priced LED dimmers I have used so far in our Cyclone with the oem LEDs... One is a wall mount that replaced the oem switch and the other is a wireless remote controlled LED dimmer I added to the awning lights.
Both are available on eBay or Amazon for very low prices...
