I have a 2015 BH 3750FL and right under both rear slides in the corners the walls are delaminating. One side has actually started to crack the fiberglass. This seems to have progressively gotten worse over the past couple years. I have only ever crossed paths with one other owner of this model...
Just added Morryde stepabove steps to my Bighorn. Now my welcome back light doesn't work. I realize it works off of a magnet and you can see the magnet on the bottom of the door. I'm wondering is there a way to fix this to where it will work with these steps?
Today I looked for any loose wires or nuts and couldn't find any. I am still really not understanding how the slide (including the hydraulic ones), the landing gear (if operated from front button) and everything else works fine on 12v but not the LevelUp. When I unplug from shore power it reads...
I was having some issues after my last trip last summer. When I got home I went to set the RV up to clean it out and the LevelUp shut itself off. Front jacks worked off the front switch. Just got done driving for 2 hours so battery should have been charged. Slides would go in and out. Battery...
Just an update on the Trailair. After four trips with it and putting about 5,000 miles on it I must say I love it. However if your air pressure is not correct you will not enjoy this hitch very much. Mine rides nicely right around 70 psi. My first trip was about 66 psi but I now have more junk...
Just tried to use both sofa beds this weekend and they do overlap. Wish I would have checked before the recall a few months ago, could have had it fixed while at the factory. Jbehrens, what did you do to correct it? Did you have to move both couches back all the way to the wall? How are the...
I think what MikeR is referring to is most 9 volt connectors look like this
and the battery terminals would not plug into this connector backwards. Your CO detector must have some type of slip in blade setup.
I just installed it yesterday and drove it from my father in laws house to mine( only about 5 miles of back roads ). It seemed to pull really nice on that short trip. Hit some unavoidable potholes and the truck road rougher over them than the trailer. You can really see the trailer move but...
I got mine back last Sunday. I must say just looking at the trailer it looks good can't really tell that it didn't come this way. They seem to have fixed the fender alignment issue and they also relocated the tank valves further back. There are a couple things that bother me some though. 1- They...
Did you find the problem? I do not have any lights when I unplug shore power but my slides and hydraulic jacks work. I will have to look for this breaker.
It doesn't appear anyone else has got their's back yet. Just 2 members? Still waiting on mine. Sent 2 emails asking when I could expect it to be done. The first email sent on 3/8 received no response and the second sent on 3/16 I was told someone would contact me. 3/22 no one has contacted me yet.
JBehrens was yours done at the factory? That may be the difference I think rdufek had his done at the dealer. Did they move your valves or just re-install the door further back? Hopefully mine has a access door that looks really awkward to get to. I guess you just lean against the muddy tire and...
What kind of harness or connection do you guys have from the trailer to the truck? Are you just using a yellow rca plug/plugs or do the make a harness and mount like the 7 pin trailer hookup. Just seems like rca's wouldn't be very weatherproof.
JBerhens, that fender looks bad. I had a $20,000 TT before I bought this BH and it had better fit and finish than that. Did they relocate the tank valves or do you have to reach around the tire to access them? If your sticker says 17.5 wheels I would assume the dealer had swapped your tires and...
Very curious as to what they are going to do with the tank valves. They are right where the new location for the back tire will be. Anyone got one back yet?
I am not sure about this situation but I have read on this forum that heartland has let people stay in there units at the factory while work is being performed. May be something you could inquire about. If you were to hold out till April they will probably be done with most of the recall work...
Mine is going back to the factory. I assume the reason for that is probably just based on my location. The dealer I purchased mine from is probably capable of doing the work but they are about 5 hours away. The factory is about 6 & 1/2 hours away. I guess if they are going to transport it that...
Well all is well so far. The transport company contracted me today and would like to pick up the unit tomorrow. Looks like HL is working customers in with the dealer stock. I do agree that the dealers are HL number 1 customers but where would the dealers be without us? Hopefully they will not...
I am pretty easy to please and I love our RV and it's floor plan/layout. I will be happy if they do a quality repair (which I am sure they will) in a timely manner. However the thought of going 3-4 months without being able to use this very expensive coach if they decided to fix the dealers...
I didn't ask them for any of those things. They are just suggestions. The only thing I asked was if they were going to offer anything to their customers affected by this recall to compensate for their inconvenience. For that I was simply told, no.
I don't know what they are doing for them but when I questioned HL about owners being compensated in some way for their inconvenience, I was simply told no. If these units are just now being sold I am sure they are knocking some $ off their asking price to make a sale, but what about those who...
I think Heartland needs to worry about the units they have already sold to customers first. They messed up and if their sales of one's sitting at dealerships has to wait so be it. I have a job out of town planned in a few weeks and if mine is not done because they are repairing unsold units I...
Nice work did the dealer give you that or Heartland? So moving the axles is supposed to be a 5 hour job. I wonder how long the replacement of the J panels and fender skirts is? Sounds like this could be done in a day.
Just received the release form and this is how it reads.
"Subject: Release and Acceptance of Repaired Unit
Unit # (my vin #) will be returned to Heartland Recreational Vehicles (known as “HRV”), LLC or a designated facility for repairs.
(My name) agrees to allow HRV to transport Unit #...
Keep in mind that those numbers are unloaded weight and that the 3750FL has two large storage compartments in the rear. People could potentially overload the rear which would decrease that percentage even more. Also when I ordered mine there was not even a pin weight listed on there site, it...
Heartland called me back this morning and said they are going to send a release to do the work. After I sign this they will schedule a date to come get the trailer and haul it back to the factory for repair. I believe it has to go back to the factory due to my location. I don't believe there are...
I would actually like to have some more pin weight on this trailer so that the coach will sit a little more level. It does not sit too bad but to have a comfortable amount of bed rail clearance on my truck it is a little nose high. This is partly due to the light pin weight only made my truck...
That is probably the location that they were at on the 3755FL which was basically the same as the new 3750FL with some minor changes to the living room. Here are some photos of the axle location on the 3750FL
Here are some of a new already in new location 3750FL for comparison.
I know...
Just wanted to note if this recalled due to being unsafe they should probably come get it on a lowboy to avoid anyone from getting in an accident hauling it back.
We took delivery of our new 3750FL around Christmas. Pulled it home from Cincinnati about a 5 hour drive. I thought the pin weight felt light but nothing to be concerned about. I have pulled enclosed and car trailers that were loaded improperly, heavy in the rear and they are very hard to keep...
This is the one I bought for the same reason. As a construction worker who familiar with torches, grinders, sledge hammers and bolt cutters, I think it looks like it would be more difficult to get this cup style lock off without damaging the kingpin. Although with a little thought it is...
