    Heartland warranty!

well its been a long time but today I picked up my 5th wheel....they actually finished the work 2 weeks ago, but I couldnt go to pick it up. They apparently did all the pointed defects. For now everything looks OK and we hope to enjoy our RV on our next trip next week. RV was washed and...

    5th WHEEL HITCH

When I did my research I found that for the money the Curt hitches are the best, although made in China. If you can afford a little more, then the B&W are probably the best and made in the USA. Just my opinion.

    Bad experience so far

I keep reading all this horror stories...they are all true. If you follow my posts you will see that yes the dealer has some of the fault. But the blame goes directly to the manufacturer. There is no way this units should leave the factory like they do. Shotty labor and since they only offer...

    My Heartland experience

its unbelievable that the RV industry is pretty much unregulated and will screw their customers so much. Its ridiculous to me that they basically are given free ride for repairs that shouldnt even be needed on a new unit. If the auto industry was this unregulated we would have WW3.

    New MORryde Entry Steps

pretty cool that there is more options on the obsolete design of the folding steps! Now saying that, I was 5 minutes away from ordering a set of the rvco.com steps (they go on top of the OEM steps) and then had a mind battle between them and the Glowstep (permanently mounted)! One thing this...

    Disappointed in Manufacturer

yeap on the stereo...no HDMI and if you have the LEGEND TV, it doesnt even have a digital audio output so installing a home theater system will sound like crap! Ask me how I know.

    2016 390MBL Craftmanship Issues

Correct, they are already in the process with HL. For now I have been lucky with the dealer, they call me with updates from HL and have answered every email and phone call...so lets see what happens.

    Timbrens

Cool, so I can jump in here, I just got a 2016 DRW F350 to tow my 390MBL with a hitch weight of 2,580lbs empty...so as you can see on my signature I had a '10 F250 with the Firestone Airbags...it was a good combination plus I was able to keep the truck leveled which was good deal. I needed to...

    2016 390MBL Craftmanship Issues

We just took our first 7 day trip on our new 390 and once you start to have some time in it, you start to see the short cuts...from trims not cut properly (so they are long and not fitting) to how cheap Dometic has become! We have scheduled an appointment with our dealer for all the little...

    Steadyfast Stabilizers

I did installed the Steadyfast bars on my 5th and makes a big difference. The problem is when you have to extend the LEvelup system beyond its prime spot you will get a lot of rocking and the bars help out a lot.
  22. P

Is extra stabilization needed with a 6 point level up

If referring to me...that picture was in a slope. So it did come out farther than normal. The jacks are the way the factory set them up.

Is extra stabilization needed with a 6 point level up

I added the Steadyfast bars and it makes a huge difference. I was getting a lot of rocking on the back end of the trailer, not much on the front. But definitely worth it. WIll add 2 more bars to cross at the front and one more at the back.

    Auto-Leveling Question

i did that and all of the sudden the two front stabs when almost all the way up, had to manually stop it to prevent the trailer from grounding! so no, I have also yet to use the unhooked memory!

Couple of ideas regarding my new 390MBL

Yes. There are 1 on each side. Way under the bed sides. Can't barely see them.

How many owners have had their dometic A/C replaced recently due to failure?

Wao...I guess I'll be joining since my front unit is making loud noise. Pretty sad since replacing could take months waiting for an appointment! Had a Coleman for 7 years and zero problems.

    Our new Oakmont 390MBL!!!

Arriving at Cedar Hill Park in Texas for our first trip on the Oakmont! The rig set up....the pad was a little steep but the Level up system worked great...didnt even need pads. The best part about camping...and she seems to like the living space! And we got to test the water...

    Building a better bike rack

Cool, since I dont have a welder, I got two "L" metal brackets the same size as the bumper and sandwiched the bumper in "T" and used bolts to tie it all together...sounds weird but it worked for 7 years!

New Heartland 5th Wheel Owner - Oakmont

Welcome....I also just upraded to an Oakmont...very satisfied...like most say, a couple of minor problems we hope to get repaired soon. This is also my first 5th wheel coming from a 35ft TT. Its a little tricky compared to the TT as rotation only happens when moving. But like everyone says no...

Chocks or No Chocks When Using Level Up System

OK, so I just went on my maiden trip on my Oakmont with the Level UP system...I have 2 X-chocks that I would normally use on my other RV. Now with the Level Up jacks, I noticed that the jacks lift up the axles enough from the ground that the X-chocks need to be readjusted and removed before...
