    Question

no matter what TITLE I give this, it says it's too short. So I'll try here I guess. We store the Bighorn for the winter in freezing temps, should we remove the TV's for the season also?

    ATF: Bighorn - lug nuts

We are getting ready to take off on Friday, and had our Bighorn's brakes and bearings checked. When they replaced the lugnuts, they ruined 16 of them. They are trying to replace all 32 of them as a courtesy to make amends, but so far can't find a match. Is there a model number you...

    Shocks shot

We were supposed to leave this morning for a month's trip....... but discovered a tire unusually low. So hubby took it in and the tire had to be replaced. He found the problem was bent shocks, all four of them. Now he's double checking the other four tires on the inside as well. What's...

    what air compressor?

Hey all... we've been RVing now for about six years, and never had a flat tire. Knock on wood. (hubby's head). My question is, he has grown tired of putting air in the tires for over an hour before a trip... are there faster air compressors out there that inflate to 110 pounds? We just...

    draw string on shades...

I just noticed for the first time that the draw string on the BACK window shade is extremely frayed. This is not in an area that hits or rubs on anything, so I've no idea how it happened. My question is this, how hard is it to have that repaired/replaced? Is it a DEAR HUBBY job, or would...

We just got back from a short trip out, since our batteries were not working. Or was it the converter? How long is the warranty on those things? How do we tell which is the culprit? Thankssssss

    3 Bighorns!

Wow, we've got THREE Bighorns here at Terrible's Lakeside RV in Pahrump, NV. And not only that, but they are all the 3055 model like us. We've had nice chats with two of the owners and I told them about the forum, but haven't seen the other people yet. Is it you? Are you here?? LOL...

    Got the new tires!

Well, we had the new G614s put on the Bighorn this morning. We feel much safer (and poorer). It was $1200 out the door with mounting, balancing and new steel stems. Worth the piece of mind. Around here, the only place that we could find to get and mount the tires was a Goodyear...

    fresh water tank question

I really think I read something about this but can't find anything in the 'search'. Everytime we try to fill the fresh water tank it overfills. Usually we only put in about 1/3 tank because of this. Today DH blew on the vent and it stopped overfilling for a bit. I forgot the fix to...

    Living room TV mods?

We find the TV in our living room to be sitting too high, and the colors are distorted because of this. Has anyone else had this problem or by any chance found a TV stand that can angle the TV down a bit? Thanks, Donna :)

    RV park's Wi-Fi

We are fairly new to using the internet on our travels.. my question is this. I have a good security suite and 'transaction protection' on keyboard strokes for my browser. I have been using 'unsecure' connections for basic email and browsing. Is this safe to do? What about paying bills...

    entry way handle

Does anyone know where we could find a replacement for the entry way handle? DH broke ours this morning, and we're on the road. The plastic part broke. We found one by Stromberg that only has two screws at each end, wheras the one we have on the Bighorn has four screws both on the top and...

    Bighorn in NV

On our first trip out, we also saw our first Bighorn.. in Gardnerville, NV. The owner stopped by, a very nice guy... from California with a 2006 Bighorn 3055 like ours. Funny thing is, we took two grand-daughters with us and at the beginning of the drive, told them we'd pay a whole DOLLAR...

    Report on our first trip

Hi all! We just got back from a short two night trip to test run our new Bighorn before our big trip in August. The trailer towed just great, no lurching or clanking. We are thrilled with everything so far! Our previous trailer had only one slide out, so having three is a huge difference...

    Anyone else travel with parrots?

I don't see a lot of parrots out there, but we travel with two of them. They are the boss of our house, more than any dog we ever owned was. We have a Senegal and a White Bellied Caique. I guess one of these days I better figure out how to post a picture. lol Donna :)

    Braces for wheel skirts

We have a 2009 3055 rl and my husband noticed that the right side has no brace between the frame to the bottom of the fender skirt between the two tires (on the right side). Are we missing this or is that how it was designed? Is this something we need to order? Thanks, Donna :)

    Hitch advice needed

We get our new Ford 350, 4x4, diesel DRW on Monday. We presently have the Reese 16k slider hitch, and hubby thinks we need to upgrade to tow the (up to) 14,000 trailer. Any suggestions? Will a newer hitch without the slider make the ride smoother or have any other benefits? Thanks, Donna :)

    Got it, but...

We have our new Bighorn 3055 sitting in the back yard now... can't wait to use it. BUT, we pick up our new Ford truck on Monday and now have to wait until we get 500 miles on it before we can tow. WOE IS ME! lol

    New diesel question

We will pick up our new Ford truck on Monday, but remember from our old diesel that you must drive it 500 miles before towing. Does anyone know why? Also, any type of miles? Stop and go or highway? Thanks! :)

    Pin weights 3055rl

We just came home with our new Bighorn 3055rl. Towed it with our 2004.5 Dodge 2500 HD, 4x4 with air bags. DH said towing was fine. He took more time to stop and also to 'go' than our old 5th wheel. My question is this. We weighed in on the CAT scales and it showed our pin weight to be...

    towing

We have a 2004.5 Dodge Ram, 4x4 diesel that has towed our smaller Jayco easily. Now that we're about to order the Bighorn 3055r come Monday, I'm wondering if this will be enough truck. The dealers are no help, we went to one today. Anyone out there tow with about the same setup? Thanks...

    Almost ordered...

Hi, Steve and I have almost decided on a new Bighorn 3055rl We've found one in another state that is much cheaper than the one locally, plus it's the 2009 instead of the 2008. My question is this... does anyone know how the warranty work will work? We won't want to take it to the local...

    fabric choices

We are presently dealing for a 2009 Bighorn 3055r. Almost had a deal with our local dealer until we got a much better offer out of state. Does anyone have the patina color scheme and if so, can you show me a picture of your couch and carpet? Thank you. Donna
