    Suburban Hot Water Tank Failure

You may be correct about this. We've used electric almost the entire time we've had this unit and the one before. Will be interesting to see how many others have experienced the same thing...

    Suburban Hot Water Tank Failure

Sorry to learn of your problem. We've used ours for 6 years plus now - constantly (we're full-time) and it's still going. We've changed the anode rod as needed also, check it twice a year. Will be keeping a close eye out for leakage. Our previous rig also had a Suburban water heater, it went 10...

    Question Bathroom Drains

Had similar problem. Removed trap and found it clogged with junk (soap scum, dirt, hair, etc.). Took outside, flushed with hose (do so carefully or you may end up with it on you). Re-installed (hand tighten). Drains normally again. This was a build up after 4 years of full-timing in this rig...

    washer/dryer-stacked

We've had both in our rigs over the years. If you have the room and don't mind a little more weight added to your rig, go with the Splendide Ariston Stackables. By far the fastest way to get clothes washed, then dried. The combo we had (also Splendide) did the job, but it seem to take forever...

    Slide out Room Floor

Our 2008 has this problem. Seems no improvements for several years, even though it's been reported via this forum. Emailed factory early on, sent us kit for repair. This just prolonged it until warranty is long over. We now have severe edge damage to plywood on front of main glide, such that the...

    Spring Upgrade

Ours were replaced under warranty by Lippert, also - same result. The 7k have held up well for the past 3 years with no issues. Still show the same arc as when installed. The Lippert tech was the one who recommended these when he saw the original. Guess they (Lippert) realized that original...

    Toilet overflow

Don't know if this is the same problem as yours, but this DID happen to us. The water supply valve had gone bad and was allowing water into the bowl. Ours is a Sealand 210 and was less then 2 years old when it happened. We now carry an extra valve with us, however, will not stop from overflowing...

Thanks for the quick reply, now all I've got to do is convince the DW, she thinks I've spent enough time under the trailer. Just finished putting on heavy duty shackles and wet bolt kit.

Anyone with the knowledge. Do the front jacks fit the same brackets and stops as the original, or do you need to weld/bolt new bracket/stop locations? Thanks.

How many have washer and dryer?

Have had both combo and now have stack. By far, the stack is the best option (for us). The combo took a long time to dry clothes. What a difference now. Yes, too many seedy laundromats! You never know what's been in the machines. From horse hair, to being used for dying clothes (think pink!) No...

    Exhaust hood light

Replaced ours with a single fixture we had over our desk. Wasn't direct replacement, mounted it on hood slightly in front of and above old light, wired to switch on hood panel, left fixture in on position. Out of sight and not noticeable except DW can now see what's on the stove. Replaced the...

How many do their own warranty work?

Had to replace the plywood bottom on the dining room, original was warped so bad it was 2" lower on the curb side. Re-did cable/satellite connections, wired wrong at factory. Re-hung light behind chair on DS, was not even close to being same height as other, could have changed either one. I...

    Installing 80 amp breaker

I mounted mine to the right side of the current breakers (your set up may be different). Used the original breaker wire as the output, had a 4-0 wire available in the tool box to finish the job for the hot side. Left the original breaker as it was, just not connected at the output. Hope this...

    Vacuum Yellow Jacket

I'll state the obvious, it could be a circuit breaker, or the line cord was never plugged in. Hopefully it's not that as you'll have to undo the bulkhead to get in behind it. On ours you can remove the circuit breaker panel and reach in there, but be forewarned it's a tangled web going in that...

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

He's a traveling tech out of Phoenix, AZ. Not sure all the states he covers, but he mentioned AZ, NV, CA, NM for sure. He's very good and takes the time to listen and explain everything he's doing or will do and then tells you to call him if there are any problems. Those of us in the West are...

Lippert Warranty Doesn't Care about safety!

I just wanted to let everyone concerned know that Lippert has come through for us once again. We were on our third motor for the front jacks and we were finally able to determine that there was more to the problem. Our jacks had a range of only about 6 inches before the motor started bogging...

    Dinette warped...

This was the case for us as well. While I would definitely get it fixed under warranty, if possible, what we did was go to a local Lumber/Hardware Store and spent under $10 for a piece of finished plywood (4' x 4'). Replaced the badly warped piece that is attached to the pedestal, took about an...

Brake parts for Lippert #6000 axle.

Absolutely, I agree, this is the way to go, all the parts are new, and the price is close enough to make the difference worth while. The brakes need to be adjusted as well. This is a lot easier and less expensive in the long run than buying a piece at a time which will likely end up being the...

    Full timing

Just another item to add to the information/confusion. When we were looking at full-timing we asked a lot of full-timers about this very thing. We have been full-timing for 10 years and decided on our Bighorn 2 years ago. This is our 2nd rig since starting this lifestyle. Lippert DOES Care

Hi everybody, Thanks to LarryHeadhunter's post, I was able to contact Lippert, about our springs and motor on our jacks. We have a 2008 BH 3400RL with 6k axles. Weight well within tolerances. Lippert had already replaced our front jack motor when the unit was 10 months old to us. About 10...
