Quick update: I just went to the beach for a week and towed about 400 miles round trip. No issues, no problems.

I went through 3 tubes. Some of the axles did not take as long to pump out the old stuff. I continued to pump out the old grease until it was only new red grease coming out. That was how I gauged it.

In addition to weight, I would be concerned about the wheelbase of the vehicle in relation to how long the travel trailer is. Trailer sway sucks and if you have a heavier trailer with sway.....might be bad!

There are quite a few Heartland units driving around and through the Omaha area. I see them everytime we are pulling or are just cruising during the week. Maybe they are unaware of the owners site? Either way, last year I was at the KOA in Gretna, NE and there were 7 other Heartland units there.

I personally prefer the visibility of a pickup truck as opposed to an SUV when towing. It is easier to see when backing into spots!

I have to replace mine now (about 2 years) They have sidewall cracks in them. Just check them often and you will notice if they are bad. I was pretty lucky. I only put about 3000 miles on them

So I did some calling around. I can get the Maxis tires reasonably priced. What do you guys think of the Goodyear Marathon's? My axles are 2 x 3500 lbs. I looked up the tires and can run ST205/75R14 C's. They are rated at 1760 a piece. Only 40 lbs more than the axle ratings... Is that bad? the...
