John,
If you put a voltmeter across the two terminals on the solenoid, I would think you have to see 12 volts when the switch is flipped on. That should lead you where to go next. I'd unplug the 120 VAC on the RV just to be safe also. If you see voltage then its the solenoid, if not the...
We also have been talking about Theater Couch/Chairs but my concern is how do you get them into the rv? Do you remove the back window or disassemble the center section from the two chairs?
I contacted my dealer about the delamination and they said it could not be covered on the extended warantee I purchased from them. Also they just sent the pictures to Heartland and the response is "no". It isn't covered past one year.
On saturday we did a modified version of what John did. Above the split under the matress we stapled left over vinyl from our kitchen floor re-do. My only concern is will the matress be too mobile when used for sleeping. We addressed the "making the bed" issue it seems. It was enough slip to...
Trace, I wqas also thinking about the decals, do you think they "go lightly" on them? I'm thinking they could probably peel a decal with their high pressure wand?
I done it twice and they do a nice job. I'm a little concerned with the decals and how well they stay stuck to the RV. I asked Blue Beacon and others but no one is willing to comment. They claim to be capable of washing RV's. But not comment on the decals.
I assume that means its a...
We did our PDI in the afternoon and we were offered overnight at the dealer. We went home instead and found a snag in the bedroom screen (minor). Other than a few minor issues over the years waranty, still the quality is way up compared to all our previous experiences. The technicians at the...
Ours is in the UDC and its routed below the desk. Our 2011 3670RL was built in April 2010. Might be useful for a fax machine, but those are fading too!
Well my problem last year has been fixed by Southco. They sent me a new transmitter and it was installed at the dealer in October. I installed the battery last week and it works just fine.
I think you would be fine with an inverter off of the camper battery or a separate battery. I purchased a second battery from Costco to run in parallel on my Bighorn. It can use it just for the inverter if I think the camper battery will get used up on cool nights with the heater running. I...
Mike Faye sent our replacement a while back and I took the camper to the dealer to install. I has been cold, wet and rainy and it still is working. Looks like Southco is figuring out what was wrong.
Absolutely YES. Thought it was kind of corny but the saleman talked us into it. It is nice in the evening to relax and view while watching tv even though we know its a fake BUT don't forget you can heat on the governments dime at Federal campgounds. And 1500 watts is a lot of heat.
We looked this morning and its a nice fresh idea. BUT...we agreed that we picked the 3670 over the 3600 because of the bathroom. The split bath was the specfic reason. It would be hard to move away from the 3670 at this point. The shelf by my side of the bed is necessary for my CPAP. Oh...
I stopped capping the drain inside and make sure i completely flush the drain. Water sloshes out down the road and then the drain gets an air dry naturally. The cap vacuum was one issue and the wet drain i didn't like either. I doesn't smell I'm going with it! It is convienent now too.
Our first latch broke during the walk through with the dealer tech, he replaced it. We now have two broken ones and not sure if I want them to be replaced based on this forum
Dan,
I run a Bi-PAP on a 250 watt inverter and a Costco Deep Discharge battery runs all night no problem. I turned off the humidifier but I did run the whole deal one night and the battery had plenty of reserve.
I third the East Harbor State Park. We had a family reunion there. Passport America is good Sunday thru Wednesday. They are filling fast except the no pet sites.
One question... do the lights in the keypad go on when you push the keyless buttons. Mine went dark in the keypad when the keyless quit working. If they light up in the keypad when pressed the sound like the problem is in the door...IMO.
Thanks all. I'm in Tionesta, PA campground w/ 50 amp for now. I will find out when I get back to Michigan. I'm sure getting the compliments on my Bighorn. There are two other Bighorns here.
I'm a noobie to 5th wheel / 50 amp and now that I need the A/C when camping I'm a little confused. What do I have to give up at the campground when connecting to 30 amp shore power. Here in Michigan, the state campgrounds don't always have 50 amp sites.
Greg, it locks only the deadbolt. I sent my broken transmitter back to SouthCo today. The battery wasn't shorted. It measured around 1.5 volts like it should. The module was sealed with the same blue compound on the new one that works. The inside was dry also. I'm not so sure water...
I called Mike Faye @ Southco. He Next Day UPS'd the repair parts and instructions. Tomorrow I'll look at the door and decide if I should go ahead because of simplicity or ask dealer to install parts. The Receiver is located in the door and the screen door needs to be removed to allow power to...
Re: I have a RESMED M series
I'm on the road or I would scan and post the bottom of the unit. It is 24 VDC on the bottom. I have 2 Honda 2000's for dry camping and shore power otherwise. The state parks have no generator hours so I have to run on battery(s). The inverter I have is 250watt...
