Well we have owned our Bighorn Traveller for 3 years now. We have decided with 8 grandkids, we need a bunkhouse. The market in Florida is very flat and its a buyers market at the dealers. Lots of great prices and we have traded our Bighorn for a Grand Design 324 MBS. We decided to go through...
Its very frustrating and it doesn't seem to be manufacture specific. This is an industry issue. I have talked to so many with the same concerns and some just accept that RV's need constant maintenance and corrective actions at your expense. My new water tank sags between the cross members...
Well my suspicions were correct and I will say a BIG thank you to CGROLL for the great troubleshooting.
The connectors were behind the fireplace and the inverter source was marked with white tape...now who wouldn't know that was from the inverter. One might think there would be white tape on...
Well tomorrow I will pull my FP as I have the exact same issue. My fireplace works with no AC power but the fridge does not. I am glad I searched these forums. I will update my threat and reference yours when I solve my issue.
I have a 2020 Bighorn Traveller. We moved our rig from Estero FL to Marathon. I noticed the refer was not powered by the invertor?
Inverter is on
Auto switchover is clicking when power is removed
Battery is charged
I will check to make sure the auto transfer switch is putting out power...
I have owned my 2020 Bighorn Traveller for about 10 months. We are in Florida for the winter so we have used our rig for the last 2 months. One of the issues I have found besides electrical, flooring, landing gear and slides is I have a leak in my fresh water holding tank system. I do not...
I received this from BAL customer support this morning. I replaced all vertical seals inside and out. I could not find anything for the user from the manufacturer to assist with the install, weatherproofing, and maintenance. I went to Heartland and they sent me a leaflet of the possible seal...
I know this post is a couple years old but I have the same issues with my cable slide. I am curious if there is an update? Did the design last longer than the OEM? What about the inner wiper? Did you leave it original?
Well for those that read my last update that I have since deleted, there is an update. I cut the floor across the nut and realized its not a nut but a #3 screw head. A large one at that. I tightened the screw very tight. I heated the floor and used a bit of silicone under the flooring. I...
Well moving the island is out of the question. It is secured from the bottom of the RV and there is a subfloor in the island. No visible anchor points. I only hope the nut under the flooring is not a bad choice of an anchor point for something else. The FW tank is in that vicinity.
Thanks for the two responses. I like the ideas. I will check to see what it takes to remove the island and if that is too much, I will make the cut. I am sure I can find surplus in the closet or under the bed. I didn't think about the hair dryer to heat it up. Thank you.
Good Day Folks. I have a 2020 Bighorn Traveller 32RS. I have had this RV since April and only used it 2 months. I have had a few challenging issues that seem to be now resolved. Now for the comedic ones and this one is either a butcher job or it could be quite simple.
There is a castellated...
Well I should have waited to post until I got my meter out. The very first thing is ALL of my circuit breakers are incorrectly labelled. I will correct that this week. Now the GFI tale. I had power at the GFI in the bathroom but when I checked...no output. When I removed the plug from the...
I have the similar issue in my 2020 Bighorn Traveller. I have power at the GFI in the bathroom, no power at the Galley Island or all other plugs with a GFI sticker inside or outside. I have an AC circuit breaker marked GFI and have reset it many times.
The GFI should be the first in series...
I was just watching this https://www.etrailer.com/p-LC88TF.html from etrailer. They say this replaces and is compatible with all Level Up controllers. It may be worth the call.
That response from Lippert doesn't give the rest of us much hope should this happen in the future. I know when I had my issues, finding parts was a challenge but I did realize some larger dealers did have lots of older stock. RV One now called Blue Compass RV in Ft Myers FL is one. Camping...
My closing remarks for my issues. I finally came to the Reverse Polarity Contactor in my troubleshooting. I could actually get the failure to happen or go away with a little side pressure on the power post. I found one on Amazon for $47.00 plus shipping and the dealer wanted $163.00. That...
I have been working on my 2020 Bighorn for a couple weeks. Not one issue but many. Remember, the slide and Landing Gear use the same hydraulic system and electrics that control the hydraulic system are the same. That means if one doesn't work, the other may not. Poor workmanship was a major...
I have the same rig as you, same year. Mine is plumbed the same way. I understood this was because they wanted you to flush your plumbing with the grey water tank after the black. I don't see the health issue. Can you explain your concern please?
Well for the most part today was a positive day. The gear worked and the slides worked. I had to power the system for the slides by pushing the open prior to close, then the system worked great. The landing gear worked all day when I tested it a couple times. Auto Retract, then auto level...
Rust-oleum Rust Reformer is what I use...I did scrape off any collection of old paint that the rust penetrated. Seems to work great. It is recommended to paint the surface after applying this product. I am not sure if I will.
Well...here is what I did today. I went and bought a new battery. I know this rig should have 2 batteries and it will in Nov when I come back to FL. Because I could see the system giving the commands to move but nothing was happening, I suspected wiring. Basically I removed every positive and...
I would really appreciate that pic and info. I see where I can run the power for the hydraulics directly to the battery. I will try that.
The pic I am showing is called
Stud Type Circuit Breakers, Lengthwise Bracket, Auto Reset (T1). I could easily get the old one to break contact. That is why...
Yes, I have the 80amp breaker also. This is the resettable one with the little arm. The one I am showing is an auto resetting breaker. It's also mentioned in this same post above. I have changed it.
Well after reading this post, I am also at a loss. I have owner a 2020 Bighorn Traveller for 3 weeks. Immediately I had issues with the Landing Gear. The previous owner told me it was the battery voltage and after I plugged the rig in the gear worked. I towed to my lot and the gear went down...
Well Cookie, I have the same issue. The lack of documentation is an issue. I have a 2020 Heartland Bighorn and cannot find the water pump or the battery charger. By tapping into someone else's knowledge, that would save possible damage to my rig. Is that not the purpose of this forum?
