Re: Something's in the ceiling!
Well there was a tiny leafy branch touching the side of the slide which I had not even considered. It was small and did not even seem to be in motion during the noise. I got up there and snipped it off and....no more noises. I feel pretty foolish now.
Thanks...
For the past week there has been some minor scratching, squeaking sounds from above the bed. Starting last night it became constant loud squeaking, squealing, scratching noises that appear the be coming from inside the ceiling of the bedroom slide. Sounds like a mouse or a bird but I can't for...
This was our first rally of any kind and we had a great time. We plan on coming to Goshen next year for sure. Met some great folks but too many that we didn't get to talk to yet. Even got to connect with an ex-coworker from way back. Enjoyed the seminars and the get togethers. A big thank...
I plan to do the same this year. It always baffled me why whoever designed this thought it was a good idea to put light switches that are often used inside the cabinet.
Yes, they made the floorplan change to add a door into the bedroom sometime mid-year 2011. Mine was built early in the year and only has the hallway door. I wish they would have made that change earlier.
For the OP, why in the world would you be in the bedroom with the slide retracted? That...
Interesting...I thought it was just my fridge that was hard to open but it looks like a trend. When I picked up my new Bighorn and spent the first few days in it we were really struggling to open both doors. I was afraid the latch was going to break. Finally after about two days and some...
I have(had) the same problem with the locks on my new Bighorn. Since I was returning it to the dealer to get a few items taken care of a few days after picking it up, I added the door lock issue to my list. The service person said to never use WD-40 on locks...only white lithium grease. I'll...
Can someone explain to me the concept behind the new sewer boom. I'm on a 3 day shakedown trip in my new BH and during my walkthru the tech just pointed it out and acted like he didn't like it. I assumed I would just swing it out and there would be a connector to attach a sewer hose to and that...
I have decided to go with the Curt Q5. There's a great price on Amazon right now for $441 plus the cost for the rails. Going to order it today.
Looks like the universal rail kit comes with L brackets to attach to the frame. They also sell custom brackets for an extra $120 that appears to be...
I'll be taking delivery of my new Bighorn 3385 in about 5 weeks and need some recommendations about a hitch. I've towed a conventional trailer for many years but have never had any experience with fifth wheels. My dealer gave me what seemed like a high price for a Husky hitch + wiring ($1225)...
Thanks to the help from everyone here. I have moved out of the ranks of "prospective owner" to owner! We bought a 2011 Bighorn 3385 yesterday. Still snow on the ground and we won't be picking it up till spring break. I think I might get on the waiting list for the Goshen ralley.
I had thought about raising the table up some to give more legroom. ...and I saw a comment about unscrewing and moving the table sideways with only two chairs to resolve the problem with pulling the chairs out. So, I guess it's something I can live with...DW has never liked booth dinettes. Is...
We gave been shopping for many months for just the right fifth wheel and are starting to lean very much toward the Bighorn. The only problem I have with them is that there doesn't seem to be enough room around the free standing dining table to get the chairs in and out comfortably. If I manage...
I haven't previously owned a fifth wheel but I have a '09 3400RE that I'm interested in for a very good price. Since I don't have a hitch yet I thought I'd ask those of you with short bed trucks how the Bighorn front cap design works for you. Did most of you get get a slider anyway? How often...
