    Mice

Mice are difficult to deal with. Once you think everything is sealed, they find another way in. I have sealed and re-sealed any areas that look like they could get in and they find a new way. Just found more evidence recently after spending lots of time and money to clean up from a few years...

    sewer smell- need help

You will also get a rotten egg smell from the hot water flow if you have left water in the hot water tank for a few weeks or longer. We always empty the hot water tank after each trip to eliminate it. The DW won't drink the water otherwise. This could also have contributed to the odors.

Fresh water system not using all 57 gallons

We also have a claimed 57 gallons of fresh water. I have found that our fresh water tank holds about 47 gallons with measuring the water flow using a meter and ensuring it is completely full. I believe that HL adds the 10 gallons of the hot water heater to the 47 to advertise 57 gallons.

More RVs being made, industry wide

So with the number of RVs increasing, is there a corresponding increase in RV parks, camp grounds, etc., in which to use them? It is very difficult to find campground openings in Arizona. How would one find out about plans for building/opening more?

Tires: When to change and what to change to?

Also most trailer tires need to be replaced at the 4 or 5 year mark regardless of the miles on them. I replaced our Maxxis tires in March at a little over 4 years and had replaced others about 4 years. They were showing hairline cracks in the side walls. They perhaps had 8000 miles total on...

    Mystery water

We had an intermittent leak that appeared to come from the sink in the bathroom. It turned out to be from the external shower, which is on the outside wall opposite the sink. It leaked only when we used the external shower. The fitting to the shower head was loose and when the water valve or...

    Where to camp in Arizona?

Thanks for the feedback. I am aware of Fool Hollow, Woods Canyon Lake, Canyon Point, etc., but they are long filled up with reservations. My point is, there are far more RVs headed to the rim than there are reserve-able camp sites. And the size of some the class A RVs would indicate that they...

    Where to camp in Arizona?

My wife and I drove from Payson, AZ to Mesa, AZ yesterday and counted over 133 RVs of all sizes going up to Payson and beyond. So about 133+ per hour are traveling from the Mesa/Phoenix areas up to the forests in central-east Arizona. Where are they going? There does not seem to be that many...

    Awning Problem on the Road

Does this need to be replaced?

I have found that if I leave water in the hot water heater for a few weeks, that there often is a bad hydrogen sulfide smell as the water leaves the faucet and upon examining the tank found what looks like white milk curds in the tank. If I drain the tank between trips, this does not occur...

    Perplexing problem with coax cable

We have a 2011 Sundance and there is a coax connection plate inside the compartment to the left of the DVD/CD player. On the plate, one can choose which TV feed to select. Ether from the Satellite or the park TV signal. You will need to unthread the connector and move it to the signal you want.

    Switch / Command area

I agree. Not the best location. I usually access the switches from outside so I don't have to bend over. I also moved the main cabin light switch to just under the counter by the door (easy to do) and used a larger rocker switch so that it is easier to operate. We love it there.

I have added four 12 Volt outlets to our Sundance. If running the Carryout only, you can just tap into a local 12 V. line, such as the light in the UDC, which is what I did. It powers the Carryout just fine. For other outlets/uses, such as a 12 V. adapter for a laptop, you will need to run a...
