ATF: Bighorn - Fresh Water

Why does my 73 gallon fresh water tank overflow at 50 gallons? I have filled it up on level ground and at 50 gallons one overflow started flowing and the other started at 51 gallons???

Silly question here, but are you sure that the tank was completely empty when you started the fill?

Yep-Just returned from a trip and water pump ran the tank low enough where it wouldn't pump-Then I opened the drain to make sure I got an accurate reading when I filled it again.

For one thing they count the water in the water heater, 10 or 12 gal. Still missing a few gal.

I have found that the vent tube if not venting air, will cause this condition. See my post below for details.
