Meeting other Heartlanders

Lin & I stopped at Indian River RV Resort & Campground to meet and visit with John & Darlene (JohnDar) while they were at their rig. What a great couple! We enjoy meeting other owners and making new friends. John & Darlene took us for a nice cruise on their pontoon boat today and now we're just kickin back and relaxing. Heading into the U.P. tomorrow then west back to Wisconsin. Still looking for a scale for some accurate weights on the trailer and truck.

Looking at the CAT scales web it looks like the closest one to you is in Grayling and then nothing until Wi. Hope that helps a little so now you can just sit back and enjoy the scenery until you find a scale.

We are at the Villages of Turning Stone RV Park/Casino at Verona, NY. DW talked to a Big Horn owner just pulling in. They had not known about the forum. DW told them they should get on it and about all of the info on it. They did not know about the National Rally either. They were from Florida. Sorry but did not get the name. BTW this RV Park is 10-10-10. The Casino is Beautiful and is huge. Left my $20 in the slots. Maybe will win it back down the road. ROFLMAO

weighing

Ray, a few miles E. of I-75 on M-68 is the village of Afton. Just past the village is a gravel pit where we get our "Afton Stone" It is operated by H & H Asphalt. There is usually no one there but the scales are always on. Go on in and weigh to your hearts content. Plenty of room to unhook or whatever. They are real nice folks. I buy gravel, etc. and weigh there often.

Ray & Lin, it was our distinct pleasure to meet the two of you (and Suzi & KK). It was fun going out on the lake with you for a couple of hours and just shooting the breeze. I've already mounted the sliding door clips you gave me

Are you ready for some more company.. We plan to be there on Monday..
Right now we are at Little River RV & Casino Park. We don't go to Casino's very often but they normally have nice parks. It is a little high for rent but we will get over it.

Find us a spot and we will drop in and say hello..

Darn, Bob, we won't be here. We're heading home tomorrow (Saturday) and won't be back up until at least July 3. Got an out of town guest coming in on Tuesday for a few days and some drywall damage scheduled for repair the week of the 29th. Are you passing through or going to be in Michigan for a spell?

Well... Shucks.. We plan to stay just a couple of nights. We have reservations to spend the 4th of July at the park where Ray & Lin are staying and leave on the 6th. We only travel between 175 to 250 miles at one time, so we

We have plans to go through the Dakotas, Montana and up into Canada then back down toward Dallas by November.

Guess we will catch you some other time..

Hope we can get a nice site at the campground..

Bighorn sighting! We are here at a nice little campground in Effingham, IL, Camp Lakewood, when in pulls another Bighorn. Turns out to be BobSue from Texas. We had a nice chat with them this afternoon. They are on thier way home from the Goshen rally, via Ohio and a stop at Branson. Nice people. We will be home from the rally tomorrow.

Thanks. It was great to meet both of you. And yes the Fur Kid is nice. Pat is spoiling it something fierce. You should see a cam video I have of him when we left him alone to go to Church and eat dinner today. You talk about a con artist. You would think he could not do certain things until you see something like what we saw in the video.. LOL...
