12 volt battey boiling dry

I am have a problem with the battery charging, I guess you would say boiling the water out. Would this be a problem with the battery being bad and the converter trying to charge it. Or is there a way to adjust the converter if it is over charging the battery. This is the original battery that came in the 2011 B.C.

Have you had the battery tested? I am no battery expert and I am sure someone will have better info but I think if it has a bad cell the converter is going to keep trying to charge it rather than dropping to a trickle.

Bill, if you have a VOM check the voltage at the battery when it is charging. It should be around 13+ volts.
Do you check your electrolyte level regularly?
FYI, the battery in my 2011 BH lasted three years, so it might be your time.

Thanks to Lynn1130 and Cookie.......Went to Wal-Mart and bought a battery tester found battery had 2 dead cells.......Looks like a new battery tomorrow.
