Hi Haso007,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum.

The propane furnace needs 12V DC and a good supply of propane to operate correctly. Shore power or generator power play only indirectly by providing 120V AC to the Power Converter, which in turn supplies 12V DC to the fuse box and to keep the battery charged.

If the furnace works properly on generator, but not on shore power, that suggests there's something wrong with the shore power. Or, perhaps you have a propane issue and it's just a coincidence that it's not working correctly now that you're on shore power. You might
fire up the generator to see if the furnace actually does run correctly on generator power.

If it does, then you will have confirmed a shore power problem. Half of your 120V appliances and outlets get power from one leg and half from the other leg. If you're missing 1 leg of power, some of 120V devices or outlets will also be non-functional. The Power Converter is one of those devices. If it's not getting power, the battery will run down and the furnace (among other things) will have difficulty running.

To track down a shore power problem, start at the power pedestal outside. If your power cord plugs into the RV, make sure it's fully locked in position. If all that is ok, the next stop is the automatic transfer switch that switches power source between shore power and generator. Finally, you could have a problem with the connection to the main circuit breaker panel.

For help on these power connections, take a look at our owner-written Electrical User Guide in this folder.

Let us know what you find.

As for manuals, perhaps someone has a 2006 manual that they can send you via email or private message. We do have some Heartland manuals here, but they're for newer coaches. As the manuals are pretty generic, you may find them useful even if not for your model year.
