I had a failure with my landing gear and I'm looking for some direction. When I went to hook up for our last trip I got my tv hooked up and when i went to raise the gear the drivers side leg did not go up. It was free floating in the tube. i pulled the pin and slid the foot all the way up, and when I released the pin to hold the foot up the leg came sliding back down sleeve and all. I cant figure out how to get the leg out to see whats going on because the generator mounting plate is welded in place.
When I held up the leg and tried to either extend or retract, a grinding noise came from the top of the leg where I assume the motor engages a worm gear or something of that nature. I've read of a bolt coming loose and letting the gear slip out and not engage, but I have not found where the sleeve falls to the ground.
Any thoughts? thanks.
