Adding water shut off valves

Was just wondering if anyone has added shut off valves in water lines to washer/drier or outside shower. If do not use or at least not going to use in the near future, will it hurt to add them so no water goes into lines and 1 more thing to either drain or sanitize. Seems like it would make sense to have such critters.

It's pretty easy to install one of these on each water line. They press onto the PEX. You just have to make good cuts in the PEX.

The hard part may be getting to a good location that's easily accessible in the future. I put mine in the raceway at the top of the doorside cargo door. I would have preferred to put them closer to where the lines connect to the rest of the water system, but access would have been difficult.

I'm not too worried about the winterizing or draining aspect. I wanted a cutoff in case of leaks at the washer or need for maintenance without shutting off all water to the coach.

I always wanted to do it, but never got around to it, but was going to put a water manifold near the water infeed and run all water to it prior to the water going to the individual faucets---several makes--was looking at a watts---someday!!!!

After having leak issues with our outside shower, & not being able to resolve it, I put shutoff valves on it, never used it anyway. Easy job, just got behind the UDC unhooked the water lines, installed the valves & reconnected them. Haven't had a leak since.
