solved:Anyone care to make a video to teach us......

How to open the dining table! We have crawled under this table, pulled, tugged, cussed it and it just sits there.
We can't get it to slide open.

yes, we unhooked the snap. And yes, it should open because we can see a table Leif inside
i think
we need a visual!

If you have the table with the flip top, it does not pull apart for the leaf. You can reach under the end of the table and pull the leaf out and up and then slide it into place.

Hey Wayne
Ours was installed backwards so the slide moved toward the wall.
We turned it around ,but it did have us confused because it wouldn't move.
just an idea. Hope you all are doing well. John

If you have the spring loaded pull-out/pop-up leaf extension, be VERY mindful of where your fingers are relative to the joint. Wife lost a piece of meat once from it. The spring is quite strong.

Update; The table was not put in wrong, it just needed a good hard smack of convincing to open the first time!!
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. Problem solved!

Ain't nothing like a good old fashioned whack upside the head to get it's attention!

Very confusing.

Post #7 says, "good hard smack".
Post 8 says, "good old fashioned whack".
Post 9 says, just a good whack".

Enjoy your 3685 ... we love ours. We did not however like the table that came with it, liking the one we had in our trade far better and hadn't seen one like it anywhere. So told the dealer we wanted to switch out tables when ours was delivered. Took it to a local refinisher and had it stained to match our chestnut cabinets/woodwork. Loving it!

Glad you solved your issue.

Glenn and Sharon, we did solve the table being stuck, Thanks
In our Big Country, we took out the table and gave it several layers of poly urethane, so we didn't have to worry about water marks. I hope to do the same on this one. When we traded our unit in the table looked like New...or better.
