ATF: Bighorn - Bike hitch on back

Want to carry two bikes on back, but need to install hitch rec.

The factory supplied 1 1/4" hitch receivers are junk. Get a 2" well reinforced installed at a hitch shop.

I agree MTP the factory offered 1.25 reciver flexes and is flimsy. I ended up buying a 2" hitch kit for the front of our silverado and mounted the bikes out front on that reciever. It was cheaper than having a custom reciever made and welded on the coach, and it didnt void our frame warranty.

The Hitch supplied by Heartland is pure junk and dangerous. I had a local trusted welder redo mine to make sure it was secure and safe. It is a mystery to me how anyone would allow the factory supplied hitch to be sold...... My welder dude only laughed at it and shook his head in disbelief.
