Awning Recept Switch??

Does anybody know what the switch on the 2015 Landmark Newport 365 labeled awning Recept does..
It doesn't open or close any awning or lights on any awning...

The awning receptacle switch usually turns on power to an exterior outlet near the front awning arm. If you hang lights on your awning, you can turn them on and off from this switch.
