Awning Rip

Hi everyone,

I own a 2020 North Trail Caliber 31BHDD. There is a small rip in my awning, between the roof and the LED strip. I plan on trying to patch it with black Gorilla Glue waterproof tape. Before I try this, I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and if so, what did you do to patch it.

I had a small rip on a slide topper that I tried to repair with tape. When the slide came in, the material wouldn't roll up correctly with the tape.

Thank you for the response. Because the rip is right next to the roof, I think it will roll up fine. I will check out Tough Top Awnings.

You may be able to take it to a canvass repair shop and have them rework it for you. When we were in Goodyear over the winter we took the golf cart cover to a canvass repair and they replaced all the zippers in a couple of days for around $60..

Instead of black gorilla tape. Use the clear. Not as noticeable

RV awning repair tape has been around for a long time. Can usually be found at Walmart or RV parts store.
