Brand of fuel filter for this diesel

I want to carry a fuel filter JUST IN CASE but don't like the prices quoted by my GM dealer. I know there is a law saying that GM cannot void my warranty because I do not use Delco but I want a comparable filter at an improved price.

Any suggestions?

I also got a "water sensor" wrench from the same place.

I carry a spare filter and 1 gallon freezer bag in an empty coffee can (with lid) in the truck tool box.

I also keep the wrench in the can (I cut it down to fit) and a screwdriver with a blade wide enough to loosen the bleeder fitting on top of the filter housing.

You CANNOT void your warranty by using aftermarket filters.

I also use filters from Kennedy Diesel. Fair prices and fast freight.

If you really want Delco you can buy them much cheaper at places like Advanced Auto and other discount parts stores.
