Chip in shower floor?

Not sure how it happened, but tonight we discovered a small chip in the fiberglass shower floor...anyone have any DIY fixes for this?

Ken, there are several ways to fix it. If it is just a chip in the gel-coat and not through the fiberglass you will not have a leak, but if you are concerned with the cosmetics then you can contact Heartland find out who makes the shower have them send you a small bottle of gel-coat the color of your shower, clean the chip out fill with bondo sand smooth allways use fine sandpaper finish with wet sandpaper 320 and 400. or clean out the chip making edges smooth fill with the gel-coat then sand smooth after hardening you have to use a catalist with the gel- coat. The easiest fix is get some white tube and tile adhesive caulk, but can't say that will stay. I repaired fiberglass tubes for a living when I was going to college.
