Why can't you use hose clamps on your water fittings instead of having to buy all that expensive pex tools?

They cannot exert the uniform strength required to compress the pex onto the fitting. If you try to use clamps you are going to have a shower!

These are what I used when repairing some plumbing.... very easy to work with.
