Converter not working

I am currently running on a battery charger as i badly broke a finger at work and cannot really look into it much. The cables were loose on the battery and i'm hoping one of the fuses on the converter blew. the converter is directly under the stairs, Is it possible that the stairs come out to access it? as it is really not accessible from the basement storage
