If you have the double beds and want a/c in the garage while the top bed is up we found a fix.
You MIGHT want to get another diffuser so you can easily switch if you need the second bed.
We took a piece of dryer vent and used hvac tape to tape the dryer vent to the inside of the diffuser. Then you can direct the a/c air into the main garage space. It works incredibly well.
We also taped off the diffuser in the loft area shut since we use that area for storage only and have the curtains closed, wasting all of that cool air. That drastically increased the flow of cool air going into the garage.
Edit: we also blocked the end of the duct in the garage so that more of the air would be forced to come to out of the vent.
