DETERMINED: Found this in the Basement (Welcome Back Light circuit)

While working in the basement with the walls out doing some plumbing before winterizing, I spy this dodad lying on the floor ...

I think it's the sensor for the LCI remote that came with our BH.
Can anyone confirm or refute what I think this is?

I have a similar looking device that controls the Welcome Home light just inside our entry door.

Yep those 4 wires blend into a conglomerate of other 12v wires of a wiring harness.
