Dish bent me over - PROBLEM RESOLVED

Like Lou, I couldn't get my carryout to work after June. I never got around to try again till now. I emailed Winegard explaining the problem and here is their response. "DISH did make some changes and while Carryouts were indeed affected if manufactured before 2013 we can generally get them working. To start with power up the receiver before the satellite. When you get to the acquiring signal screen press menu 6, 1, 1. On the point dish screen set the satellite to 119 and the transponder to 19 (odd number). Then power up the Winegard. Allow it to search like normal. If it locks onto 119 satellite, and shows signal strength for at least a minute, select done on the right, then press 0 on the remote three times. It should acquire signal and download the guide."

I did this but it still wouldn't work until I did a "check switch". I uses the same receiver in the house as the trailer and when I move it from one place to another I always have to do a check switch the first time.

Don't through out those old Carryouts.
