I currently have two HD tv’s and a VIP722K and want to have the second tv HD. What do I need to replace it with? A hopper and a joey?

Probably but have you called DISH and asked? They are pretty good at getting you to the correct equipment.

I know if you are paying a month to month you would need to get the Wally system they do not support the hooper and Joey if you are month to month.

We bought two Wally’s. Then we used AV Aux cables to jumper our tv in the bedroom to the outside tv. This way we ily needed one additional Wally and not two. We just use the same remote and it works fine. The only limitation is we can’t watch both of those TVs at the same time.

If you just want to watch Live Satellite TV in the bedroom and not recordings from the 722, then you could install a VIP211 in the bedroom.
If you want to watch recordings in the bedroom from the living room receiver then you will need a Hopper, Joey and a Solo Node .
I purchase most of my satellite equipment from Solid Signal.
