Do emergency windows go back in after removal

5 rigs and 20+ years of 5th wheeling and I am pleased to say we have never had an occasion to use an emergency window.

But I am curious if I do open one, just to see how it operates, will it go back in place OK?

certainly I'll have help so it won't get damaged but have just purchased an escape ladder and want to insure it will work.

I had a guest once open the emergency window in the garage of my unit and it is just a big window hinged at the top, so it closed right back up just like an old casement window used in basements before glass block. Our other emergency window is just a slider that slides open and is closable. Both of mine are framed windows and I am thinking that you have the frameless ones.
