Dometic Blizzard AC Replacement

Hello, I have a 2016 Bighorn 3270RS with 2 blizzard multi zone AC units. It has 2 CCC 2 thermostats. The front AC unit quit blowing cold air so I replaced it with a new Blizzard NXT unit. I turned all AC and 12 v power to the unit off before changing out the unit. I hooked up all the wires the same as the old unit. You are supposed to reprogram the CCC2 thermostat but there are no lights to the thermostat. I am assuming it's not getting any power. Any help in diagnosing the problem would be help full Thanks.

There are 2 couplers that look like phone jacks that go to your thermostat, swap them. There should be 12 volt power at both of these, I just installed 2 NXTs 2 weeks ago. I after much back and forth, I learned they are both to have power. I had to open up the control box and found that one of them was not plugged in all the way. I had power to the stat, but it wouldn't recognize the second unit. And the education began.

I have checked both couplers or connections. I checked the control box and it is receiving 110 v. I also cked the red and black wire for 12 v and they are not given any voltage at all. There is one wire going into the coach which is a yellow/white and white. The red and black wire hook up to them, the same way as the old wires. There just is no power going to the thermostat through the communication wire..

Make sure yiou have 12voltg at the yellow/white wires and you also have a good ground. The thermostate and a/c is controlled by 12 volt power.

I don't have any 12 v going to those wires and there is no going to red and black wire. I have checked to make sure all fuses and trip switches are on.. like I said there is 110 power going to the h541816A control box.

Possibility that the 12v wire or wires have been cut during tear out or install, or wire stretched and pulled apart inside the insulation. I'd try tracking the wires for 12v to thermostat to find 12v power. IMO

You must have 12 volt at the red and black wires, it won't operate with out 12 volts on these 2 wires. Do not try to supply 12 volts directly to the thermostat! It's supply comes through the communitaction cable

The wires yellow/white and white had 12 v power before I turned the power switch off for 12 v in the carriage. Then after hooking everything back up there was no 12 v power. I didn't pull any line out so they should be no disconnection on the line.. the batteries are giving off 12 v to all the connections in the trailer. I'm just dumbfounded why there is no 12 volt going to the AC.

I just checked the 12 v fuse to the AC unit. There is no power to it or all the other fuses seem to give know reading although all the lights inside the coach are working. I pulled out different fuses from the socket and checked it there was any bolts your power to it and the meter didn't register. I wondering if I should take the whole fuse box out and see if there is power going to it.

check wiring coming to the 12vdc from the transfer switch or the batteries. Could be a resettable relay somewhere in the circuit that has tripped. Just follow the wires & see what you find, good luck.

Sorry about not getting back to you all, but it's been 90 plus degrees here plus high humidity. I will check out voltage input to the fuse holder to find if it's getting 12 v. There is a reset switch on the 12 v relay bar on the front wall compartment of the coach. Their is 12 v going in to all the breakers. The shutoff switch button is on the second breaker. The reset switch is out and won't stay in. The breaker does have power going in and out of the breaker.

I just pulled out the fuse pan box and all circuits going into show 12 v. The power converter box has to wires going to the fuse panel and going out I'm assuming to the battery for charging. All fuses are good. Still no 12 v power going to the front AC. The main AC has 12 v going to it and thermostat comes. Everything seems to be working except 12 v power to the front .AC. .Any other suggestions besides taking it to certified RV place

Final note. I want to thank all of you for the help and suggestions you all provided in order to help me with my AC unit. It comes down to the point where I'm just spinning my brain trying to figure out why I'm not getting 12 v to the unit. I have checked and rechecked all 12 v fittings, fuses and breakers and still can't find the problem . If any of you still have any suggestions then feeI free to respond. I have made a appointment with camping world a week from tomorrow. Thanks again for all your help.

you will need LOTS of good luck taking to CW, I'd try to find certified RV tech or a electrician! Electrician should have access to a wire tracer for following the wire. I used one before retiring as industrial electrician.

I live in the middle of Missouri. Not to many places to take it too unless I want to drive a long ways. The one place close to me is 30 mi but not reliable. CW is 50 mi. They have done work before for me on the main AC. Not me choice but I'm just tired of working on it. I'm 74 and getting tired of climbing up and down the latter 10 or more times a day. Thanks again for the advice.
