Dometic Fridge Advice

Need some advice on my Father-in-Laws dometic fridge in 2017 Mallard M28. Same is not cooling. First thought was issue with having the LP button turned on and running out of gas, not the case. Turned gas bottles off, made sure it was set to auto..check light did not come on, etc.... We shut up the camper and let it sit over night then went back to check on it.... fridge not cool, temp was warm and "check" light and "auto" light were on. Turned it off again and then back on, heard a clicking noise from the panel outside. Any thoughts fellow Heartlanders?

Ok, it's set to AUTO and gas is off. Has anyone checked the outlet the fridge is plugged into?

Hey danemayer.... if it is plugged in at that location.... I am guessing unplugging and leaving unplugged for a few then plugging back in will be like a "reset"

The dual power refrigerators have circuit boards that use 12V DC, provided through the fuse box. The fuses get power from the Power Converter (shore power) and from the battery. So a reset would require all power to be cut off to the refrigerator. If the rig has a battery cutoff, you could turn that off and also unplug the rig from shore power.

But you really should check for 120V at the refrigerator outlet. Also check fuses on the refrigerator circuit board. Dometic refrigerator manuals usually have an electrical block diagram that identifies the fuses, and to an extent, where they're located.

Another thing to check is the temperature sensor location. There should be a sensor at the end of a white cable and the sensor should be in a plastic clip attached to the last cooling fin on the right side as you look at it. This sensor needs to be as high on the cooling fin as you can get it.

danemayer, this was the issue, opened the outside compartment and the plug was just laying there. We are not sure if it came from the factory that way and dealer did not catch it or if the dealer did some work and forgot to plug it back up.... she is plugged up and turned on now so she should be cooling good now.... Thanks for all the advice from you and everyone that offered assistance... Love the forum and the facebook group as well. Fixed several simple things through help on here..plug.jpg
