Dometic Fridge Model DM2852 Inside Light Not Working

We just installed a brand new Dometic refrigerator Model DM2852 a couple of months ago and the light inside has already gone out. I took out the bulb and it looks good. It does look like a bulb/fuse. What else could be the problem with having no light.

Do the same thing you would do at home if the bulb went out in your refrigerator. I'm guessing...try another one? A bulb can sometimes look good, but is not. Work the light switch at the door and see if that moves freely and is not intermittent. Check the voltage at the light socket.

Thanks. I guess I'll start with a new bulb and see what happens.

Dometic light bulbs can be a bit pricey. Before you order one, if you have a multi-meter, check continuity. If it's open, buy a new bulb.

If it shows a few ohms of resistance, it might be something else.

Our RM1350 light was having problems because of a loose fuse on the control board on the back of the refrigerator.

We ended up getting a bulb at the Pep Boys Auto Parts Store and it is working for now. Will check for a loose fuse on the back tomorrow though.

I have found that the door switch contacts get flaky. Contact spray seems to help.
