I have had 2 of the cheap ($2) wired Centigrade-only temperature readouts for a few years now. I was looking through E-Bay for something else, and I came across this EXCELLENT 2 sensor WIRELESS monitoring system for only about $18!!! It has large display numbers; maximum high and low readings for each channel since last reset; Centigrade and Fahrenheit capabilities; individual high and low alarms for each channel; a small arrow for each channel that indicates if the temperature is trending up, down or steady; and even an ambient room temperature (at the readout) display. Each sender uses a AA battery, and the monitor uses 2 AAA batteries. The sensors update the temperature every 10 seconds.

You should be able to move the monitor to your tow vehicle when moving the rig to monitor the refrig/freezer temps from there when travelling.
