Edges of slides rotting out 09 Cyclone 3914

Hello everyone! After reading several posts I realized I'm not the only one with this issue. The edges of ALL the slides are rotting out. Will Heartland make it right since its been an issue, and if not, has anyone fixed this themselves and can let us know the best process, and also what to do to prevent it from occurring again? Thanks in advance!

Hi Lovnrtoys,

2015 models have been out since the Spring, so you're talking about a coach that's 5 or 6 years old. I think Heartland may have added some flashing to the edges of the slide floor beginning with 2010 models. I think a number of owners of 2009 models ordered a kit or purchased materials from local stores to upgrade their units. Sounds like the prior owner of your unit didn't.

You might call Heartland Customer Service at 877-262-8032 / 574-262-8030. Have your VIN # ready. Who knows, maybe they'll help you out even though the coach has been out of warranty for a very, very long time.
