embarking on a cleaning plan

We have a clog in our black water valve, as our drain won't close all the way. Our plan is to get a "flush king" and close the outer valve, then open the main valve and inject enough water to get up into the valve and let it sit till it loosens the clog and it floats happily away. Does this sound like it might work? Is there any "waste digester" that might help the clog dissolve?

I use a Flush King after every black water dump until the water comes out clean. Works great and keeps the solids from collecting in the tank. Would never be without one.

Could be you have a piece of a cut out that was left in the tank when they cut the holes for the inlet and vent. Sounds like your plan will work, hope it is just sewer trout and not plastic.

Looks like the plan worked, we let water from the flush king sit up in the tank with the tank valve open and the flush king valve closed - nothing after about an hour, so poured in some black tank solution and refilled the tank about 1/3 full with the chemical and left it all day and the clog turned loose and the valve closed almost all the way. Little bitty leak, but we can live with it. Thanks for the suggestions.
