I found an escort to DMV for my big drive day test this coming Thursday. Thanks Steven for your help. Thank you everyone for your comments. We really appreciate it.

Today we got out to do some practice where we store our Road Warrior. I feel much better after spending 3 hours backing up in various ways to test my handling with our new TV & 5iver. I did about 20+ times backing up. I am ready. Below are two clips I wanted to share with everyone if you are interested in seeing it. It's not a big deal but I decided to put it out there in case somebody out there may think it can be of use.

Part 1 - 10 minutes long: http://youtu.be/qFXjR11ZseA

Part 2 - Towards the end. 2 minutes long: http://youtu.be/T1CW7ys8XoA

Have a great day and safe driving.

ClassA---NC-10.03.2013-1200x600Passed.jpg

I did it, I did it, I did it!!!!!! That potato bag I've been carrying on my back is finally off my back! I passed and now I am officially a "Class A Non Commercial Licensed Driver".

"AM1" instead of my original license "CM1" will be my new Class listed with my new drivers license they will send me in 30-60 days I guess. The M1 is my motorcycle class license.

Thanks again Steven - Fawsty for making it a great experience with the escort and keeping me positive. Your examples helped! I hope you enjoyed your In and Out Burger! LOL....

Pre Test Inspection - You can miss up to 10. I missed 2. I did not mention "Check the frame for cracks and inspect the skirts.

Skills Test - Where I got docked = 2 required pull ups for the "Alley Dock" and one "Right Turn" back up. Got to close to the cone. The paring lost they used for the skills test is very small. Also, during the drive test, I had winds and minor dirt blowing around. A little sway on the freeway. But I embraced myself to complete the test.

Driving Test - 45 minutes of it. He got me with not looking left and right when crossing each intersection. I did though. The reason why is I did not turn my head and look with your eyes. I slightly turn and turn my eye more. The limit line I went over a little. I cut to short one time on a right turn.Should have pulled out a little further out to the intersection. Keep in mind this was a very tight two lane road off a one lane. When a single lane turns into a two lane, I stayed on the left instead of being on the right. I moved over after I realize but still docked me. Everything else was straight forward. You can miss up to 45 errors. I had 7 errors. I passed and I am done!

I know some of you are awaiting to hear what happen and how I did. If you guys have questions, let me know. Thanks for everyone's support. You made it comforting.

Hope this helps for anyone interested to complete what I just went through. Attached is my official and final score sheet.

Al,

There's an old joke: What do you call the medical student who had the worst grades and the worst test scores from the worst medical school?

Right Dan. Funny one. Or how about a professional student. LMAO. Pass or fail. It is done and I passed. BTW,

The Tow Max is off and got the Bridgestone M700 Tires in place before I took the test. Ready for some mileage to be put into that **** investment.

Great news Al. I'm glad you passed. It's got to feel good not looking over your proverbial shoulder.

Alex, yes it feels great and I am very happy it's over. Thanks for your information. You actually got me me motivated to move forward with the re-class of my license and I have learned so much. There was two of us testing for the same test. The guy at window 16 said I've never seen interest in taking this test.

Al; You're welcome...and I loved the hamburger. Hope you guys have fun in the desert this weekend. I just wish more people in this state realized the importance of getting licensed properly. Now...pat yourself on the back for a job well-done. Steven

Steven, I am still reflecting back at what I just accomplished. You made it smooth by you being there. I was surprise the examiner ask to see your License. He was a nice guy though. We were chatting away but still had to pay very close attention. I could see his back eyes looking at me while his fronts looking forward. LOL. You guys ever wanna meetup for a weekend ride, let me know. Since I know that you have some atv's.

Since DW mention about the "Wind Advisory". There's a great chance we will noyt make it out this weekend. I would love to so bad. It was blowing around during my drive test. Boy, what a day for it to happen during a drive test.

"Hey Bill. Are you talking about the attachment I put up? That was from DMV CA when I completed the entire testing."

No, I meant how to know ALL the Pre-Driving Inspection items to cover with the examiner watching/grading.

It was also helpful to know the amount of items you can miss and still pass. Some people I have talked to were fearful of missing 1 item on the pre-inspection, immediately failing, and having to have their escort drive them back home. Also posting the scoring sheet was a great help.

Do you think they will allow me to use a back-up camera system in the turning/parking test?
