Get some fluorescent orange paint or the like (or some yellow tape, whatever) and mark up your black weight distribution hitch tool, stabilizer tool, etc. I have left...I mean a friend has left... his black WD tool on the black frame of the trailer once. Or twice.

This is the last thing I do before I slide in the drivers seat. One other thing to mention, while doing this, DO NOT TALK TO OR BE DISTRACTED, by friendly people saying goodbyes. If neighbors are standing around talking, I excuse myself from the conversation, before doing my final walk around.

Good advice, since I usually dry camp after I've pulled a length away or so I re check to make sure nothing forgotten at camp, hitch good, no trash etc... and when breaking camp I check psi in all tires.
