EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: FL, Williston - 3/22/2013 to 3/24/2013

It's only just over a week away and I can't wait. I was thinking about an idea to help fund the club for the future leaders and give them a good start. I would like to propose a silent auction, Saturday afternoon, before the catered BBQ dinner. If you have andthing RV related, or anything you think the RVer has to have, and are willing to donate it to the club, bring it and we will help you get rid of it. I obviously have some things that I will donate. Think about it, and let us know. I have a B&W companion hitch that may make it to the auction. Lanterns, lights, tents....well you get the idea.

Do we need to bring extension cords or strips for the potluck so everyone can plug in their hot stuff.. just let me know and I can bring some.. we are not heading out until Thursday... can't wait .....
and for those of you concerned from an earlier post... we are now mid-level rookies and much better at parking... haven't run over anything that we have noticed ... so just make sure all pets and small children are out of the way when we enter to park ...lol

FYI: Fair warning to anyone who knows they are going to be in the new section for the rally. There are power issues at quite a few of the sites. My EMS showed 133 on leg 1 and 99 on leg 2 this morning. It has been going on since Tuesday morning. Power company was here Thursday but I guess they didnt find anything. They are coming back out on Monday morning. Hopefully they will correct it.

We thought about moving but decided to see what the power company comes up with on Monday. It is pretty predictable when the issues start and stop. About 7am to 10 am is the real problem. If it starts getting warmer here that might extend into all day with the A/Cs running.

If you are back in the new section, might want to pick up an EMS or surge protector if you do not have one. Might save you some grief.

Sorry hear about the power issue over in the section of the campground. The old section appears not effected but we did have an outage about a week ago. I hope they locate the issue soon and that no one has had electrical problems because of this.

Do they allow generators? I have a SAMs club special that is not that noisey but it is not a Honda.

Letting everyone know that Mac & I have to cancle out of the rally this weekend. We have had a death in the family. We were really looking forward to meeting everyone. Hopefully next time.

Got a call this afternoon that we are being moved to site 525. This is our third spot. I am fairly sure they keep positioning us so they can get the most cameras on the rig as I back it in.

Also we are coming in Thursday instead of Friday as previously planned

Sorry I missed your misguided ramblings from last night Larry. I would have responded sooner. Poor boy is delusional. Dick maybe we can help put him out of his misery once we get there. Not sure when you are arriving, but I will be arriving tomorrow. I'll start with him and you can help when you get it. Between the two of us we should be able to put him out of his misery. One has to wonder how poor Sam has been able to put up with him for so long. The women is obviously a Saint.
