Wi-Fi is available @ 4.95/day or $14.95/week.
After sending out an e-mail to the 20 contacts that I had at that time, I had enough response to book our 2010 rally at Poncho's Pond in Ludington MI.
THIS WAS THE ORIGINAL POST
Here are the details...
- Camp fee will be $39/night - cash or check only to get this rate.
- Extra days will not be at the $39/night rate, but rather the $45-$49 rate should you wish to come early or stay later.
- $35 check to book reservation (applies to total camping fee) which must be in no later than June 20, 2010.
- Address is Poncho's Pond, 5335 W Wallace LN, Ludington MI 49431
- Phone number is 888-308-6602 - I talked to Nan, one of the owners. Call first to reserve, then send the $35 check.
- We have to have at least 10 units to get the $39 rate, but she is holding 25 spots for us until June 20. Latecomers may still get in, but nothing will be guaranteed after the June 20th date.
- We will get the use of the pavilion on Friday night, but not Saturday, so we will plan for our potluck and get together for that night
What to do in the Ludington Area???
- Silver Lake is nearby where you can rent Jeeps or go on dune buggy rides through the many square miles of sand dunes.
- Charter fishing is available in Lake Michigan.
- Beaches and lighthouses.
- State park with a great interpretative center.
- Shopping (a bit limited in my wife's opinion, but still some neat shops).
- Golf, both regular and miniature.
- Little River Casino at Manistee - a few miles away.
- White Pine historical village
- Ferry to Wisconsin - leave in the morning and return in the evening
Some pretty good places to eat in the area, for those who like to try restaurants...
- Old Hamlin Cafe (good cherry burgers there)
- PM Steamers
- Scotties
- James Street Station
- Jamestown Brewery
- Emerson Lake Inn (Walhalla - a few miles away)
I will send out this information in an e-mail to the nearly 40 who have sent me a reply to my PMs that had Michigan addresses. Hope to see you there!

To clear up some confusion, the rally rate is $39/night for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Earlier or later nights are either $46.50 or $49.50, depending upon the type of site. You may have registered for either $35 or $40, but these are the actual rates you will be charged.
